제주지역 정착이주민의 이주특성 및 이주적응도가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 제2의 인생설계，건강, 퇴직 둥 다양한 이유로 인해 본거 지에서 타지역으로 삶의 근거지를 옮기는 이주민들의 이주특성 및 이주적응도를 살펴보고, 이주민들이 이주대상지에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 방안을 도모하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 최근 몇 년간 지속적으로 이주민이 증가하고 있는 제주특별자치도를 사례지역으로 선정하여 제주지역에 이주한 도시민의 이주특성 및 이주적응도가 생활만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석자료는「제주특별자치도 정착이주민 실태조사 및 정착지원방안 연구」 (2014)의 귀농귀촌이주자와 문화이주자 데이터를 활용하였고, 응답이 부실한 설문지를 제외한 293부가 최종분석에 활용되었다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 이주특성에 따른 이주적응도에서는 정착기간에 따라 본인의 이주적응도가 통계적으로 유의한 차이(F=2.887, p＜.05)가 나타났고, 둘째, 이주특성에 따른 생활만족도의 경우, 이주유형에 따라 교육환경 만족도(t=2.204, p＜.05)와 지역주민과의 네트워크 만족도(t=-2.217, p＜.05)가, 이주준비기간에 따라 경제활동환경 만족도(F=2.702, p＜.05)가, 지자체 사업 수혜경험에 따라 보건복지환경 만족도다(t=2.055, p＜.05)와 지원정책 만족도(t=5.484, p＜.001)가 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 정착이주민의 전반적인 생활만족도에 미치는 영향요인을 일반적 특성, 이주특성, 이주적응도를 순차적으로 투입하는 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 일반적 특성, 이주특성, 이주적응도 3개 변수를 모두 투입한 모델 II만 모형적합도가 유의한 것으로 나타났고, 독립변수의 영향력은 자녀 이주적응도(β= .334), 본인 이주적응도(β= .292), 이주전 거주지역(β= -183) 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 향후 정착이주민 정책 수립시 고려사항 및 지역민과 이주민들을 융합시킬 수 있는 발전방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study looks into changes of local policy demand from the recent surge of immigration from urban areas and makes suggestions for harmonious local communities. Specifically, this study focuses on immigrants who moved to Jeju from other parts of Korea to be a farmer or settle down as an artist. Effects of features of immigrants from urban areas and adaptation to new environment on life satisfaction are analyzed. Immigration data from 「Survey on immigrants to Jeju and ways to help them settle down」 published by Jeju Special Self-governing Province and 293 properly answered questionnaires were chosen and used for the analysis. Findings are as follows. First, the level of immigration adaptation by immigration type significantly varied by the period of settlement(F=2.887, p<.05). Second, the satisfaction level of educational environment(t=2.204, p<.05) and the satisfaction level of relations with neighbors(t=-2.217, p<.05) significantly varied by the type of immigration. The satisfaction level of economic environment meaningfully varied by the immigration period(F=2.702, p<.05). The satisfaction level of health and welfare environment(t=2.055, p<.05) and the satisfaction level of supportive policies(t=5.484, p<.001) significantly varied according to whether an immigrant has experience of winning supportive aid from local governments. Third, factors affecting life satisfaction of immigrants were analyzed by hierarchical regression analysis by inputting general features, immigration features and the level of immigration adaptation gradually. The results showed that only the model II that had all of the general features, immigration features and the level of immigration adaptation inserted was suitable. Independent variables affected the immigration adaptation most(β= .334). The immigration adaptation of himself or herself(β= .292) and the region where an immigrant had lived(β= -.183) followed. This study also proposes considerations needed when immigration policies are made and measures to harmonize area residents and immigrants based on the findings.
