Research Trends on Social Support for Parents of Children with Severe Developmental Disabilities over the Last 40 Years

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 발달장애인 부모의 사회적 지지체계에 관한 40년간의 국내외 연구의동향분석을 통해 도출된 내용을 공식적 지지와 비공식적 지지체계로 분석하고, 연구주제별 분석을 통해 제시된 연구의 결론을 분석하여 그 분석을 토대로 향후 연구과제를 도출하였다. 연구방법은 검색엔진을 통해 키워드를 검색하고 참고문헌 검토를 통해, 1981년부터2020년까지 국내외에서 발간된 성인기 중증발달장애인 부모를 위한 사회적 지지체계에관한 국내논문 25개와 국외논문 11개를 최종 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 중증발달장애인 부모의 사회적 지지체계에 관한 40년간 연구주제가 가족지원, 부모지원, 주거지원, 가족지원 및 부모지원, 평생교육 지원 순으로 나타났으며 지난 40년간의 연구에 대한공통주제로 가족지원이 가장 많았다. 이는 성인 중증발달장애인을 돌보는 주체가 가족이기 때문에 가족을 위한 지원방안이 절실히 필요함을 시사한다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

This study examined the research trends on the formal and informal support provided to parents of children with disabilities in both domestic and foreign research over the last 40 years. The research conclusions drawn from the analysis of each research topic are then analyzed, and potential lines of future research are derived. The method of this study is to search for keywords through a search engine and review references, through which 25 domestic and 11 foreign articles on social support for parents of adults with severe developmental disabilities published between 1981 and 2020 were found. The study results showed that the most often discussed research topics in this area over the last 40 years were family support, parental support, housing support, family and parental support, and lifelong education support. Family support was the most common theme. This suggests that a support plan for families is needed, as they are the primary caregivers of adults with severe developmental disabilities.
