영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to analyze why there has been a disagreement on the name of the Kwangbokhae, and suggest the correct name. The discordance of the name of the Kwangbokhae has been resulted from articles of newspapers. The newspapers reported activities of numerous the Independence movement organization, called Kwangbokdan, but they did not distinguish Kwangbokhae from Kwangbokdan. Another reason was that after the Independence, members of Kwangbohae tried to reorganize the Kwangbokhae and Kwangbokdan, and they left different records to try to legitimate their organization. Reviewing the historical documents, when the Kwangbokhae was organize and get into operate, the name of the organization was the Kwangbokhae. When organized and get into operate, the organization was called Kwangbokhae, but during the 1920s, there had been started a discordance of the name of the Kwangbokhae, and it has been begun to use Kwangbokhae together with Kwangbokdan. After the Independence, the name of Kwangbokhae, Kwangbokdan, TaehanKwangbokdan,TaehanKwangbokhae was used in historical documents. Except the name of the Kwangbokhae. however, the others were used arbitrarily by reorganized Kwangbokhae and Kwangbokdan, so it can be concluded that the correct name is the Kwangbokhae. There exist relatively many documents on the name of the Kwangbokhae. We should review the documents when we quote data from these documents, because reorganized Kwangbokdan and Kwangbokhae left many different documents. It might be said that the name of a organization is not important when we study the activities of the Independence movement organization, because a certain name can be used more commonly rather than the name used at that time. However, if the name of Kwangbokhae was used differently by researchers, and the name resulted in the nature of the organization, we should used the name of Kwangbokhae which was used when the organization had been organized and get into operate.
