국문 초록

이 논문은 대학 글쓰기 수업에서 자유글쓰기를 활용하여 학습자의 글쓰기에 대한 흥미를 높이고 주체적이고 지속적인 글쓰기 능력을 키우는 수업 방안을 마련하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 글쓰기 수업을 시작할 때 형식과 내용에서 아무런 제약이 없는 자유글쓰기를 활용하는 방안을 설정해 보았다. 우선 자유글쓰기는 학습자에게는 글쓰기 시작을 쉽게 해 주고 수업 분위기를 조성해 주며, 글쓰기 습관을 키우는데 도움을 준다. 교수자는 자유글쓰기를 해당 수업의 준비 과정으로 활용할 수 있고, 학습자들의 능동적인 글쓰기를 유도하는 유용한 도구로 사용할 수 있다. 이를 위해 16주 기준으로 자유글쓰기를 대학 글쓰기 수업에서 실제로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 주차별로 제시하였다. 4주간의 자유글쓰기와 이후의 초점화된 자유글쓰기는 학습자들의 글쓰기 의욕을 북돋우고, 자신의 생각을 글로 옮기는 경험을 반복적으로 수행하게 함으로써 글쓰기 수업에 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 자유글쓰기는 글쓰기 수업이 이론에 치우치거나 성적 취득만을 위한 수업이 되는 것을 방지하고 학습자로 하여금 글쓰기를 자신의 삶 속으로 정착시키는 수단이 될 것이다. 아직 자유글쓰기에 대한 정치한 이론이 마련되지 않았지만 이는 앞으로 수업을 진행해 나가면서 충분히 수정 및 보완이 가능하다고 본다.

영문 초록

The objective of this dissertation is to prepare class method which makes learners further interested in writing and cultivates the subjective and constant writing capability by utilizing free writing in the writing class in university. To this end, this dissertation sets the method to utilize free writing without any restriction in the form and contents when starting writing class. To begin with, it enables learners of free writing to easily start writing, builds class atmosphere and helps them cultivating writing habit. The instructors can utilize the method as preparatory course of relevant class of free writing and use it as useful tool to lead learners to active writing. To this end, the method that can be actually utilized in the writing class of free writing university is presented for each week on the basis of 16 weeks. It is found that the method can play positive role in writing class by invigorating free writing learners writing intention which is highlighted after free writing for 4 weeks and leading them to repeat their experience in writing their idea. In conclusion, free writing will prevent writing class to be biased to theory or to become the means to acquire mark only. Instead, it will be the means to enable learners to settle writing into their life. Although precise theory on free writing is not yet prepared, this lack is expected to be fully revised and supplemented as class is further in progress.
