국문 초록

이 글에서는 현대사회의 정보화와 개인화를 우려하며, 대학 글쓰기 강좌에서 글쓰기의 수행성과 비평적 글쓰기 활동이 활성화되어야 함을 주장했다. 글쓰기의 수행적 가치를 탐구하기 위해, 헤르만 헤세의 성장소설에 나타난 앎의 수행적 가치에 주목했다. 대학에서 이루어지는 교양 글쓰기 강좌는 수행적 글쓰기를 통해 올바른 시민의식 배양에 기여할 수 있다. 글쓰기 학습자들의 설문문항 분석을 통해 학습자들의 수준과 요구를 알 수 있었다. 학습자들은 문법을 비롯한 기술이 아니라 사유능력의 증진을 요구했다. 그들은 글쓰기의 가치를 인지하고 있으며, 특히 목적달성을 위한 긴 글쓰기의 어려움을 호소하고 있었다. 비평적 글쓰기는 학습자의 사유를 촉진하고 글쓰기 주체의 인식 확장에 기여할 수 있다. 이 글에서는 K대학교 글쓰기 강좌에서 이루어진 비평적 글쓰기의 실제를 소개하고 사례문을 분석했다. 두 사건을 제시하여 각각의 사건 분석뿐 아니라 두 사건의 대비를 통해 관점의 다양화와 객관화를 유도했다. 비평적 글쓰기를 통해 학습자는 사회 변화를 능동적으로 인식하고, 동시대 문제들과 공감하며 시민의식을 고양시키는 계기를 마련했다.

영문 초록

With anxiety of informatization and personalization in modern society, this study claimed that there should be activation of performance in writing and critical writing activity in college writing classes. To investigate performance values of writing, this study focused on performance values of knowledge appearing in Hermann Hesses’ development novels. Liberal art lectures of writing offered in colleges may contribute to cultivation of right citizenship through performance writing. Through analysis of survey questionnaires of writing learners, this study grasped the levels and needs of learners. Learners asked for reasoning ability other than description as well as grammars. They recognized values of writing, and especially appealed to the difficulty of long writing to accomplish their objectives. Critical writing may accelerate reasoning of learners and contribute to expanding the recognition of the writing subject. This study introduced a critical writing practice held in a writing lecture in K university, and analyzed case writings. By presenting two issues, this study derived diversification and objectification through comparison of the two issues as well as analyzing each issue. Through critical writing, this study provides learners with opportunities to actively recognize social changes and empathize with contemporary problems with elevation of citizen consciousness.
