변이계수를 이용하는 정규모집단의 위치모수 추정에 대한 비교연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 정규분포를 갖는 모집단에서 변이계수(coefficient of variation)가 알려져 있는 경우에는 선행 연구에 의하여 제안된 위치모수(location parameter)의 추정량들에 대하여 표본의 크기 또는 변이계수의 변화에 따라 보다 효율적인 추정량들을 발견하고, 변이계수가 알려져 있지 않는 경우에는 변이계수의 추정량을 이용하는 선행 연구된 위치모수의 추정량들에 대하여 표본의 크기의 변화에 따라 보다 효율적인 추정량을 발견하는데 그 목적이 있으며 이를 위하여 제안한 추정량들은 변이계수가 알려져 있는 경우에는 상대효율(relative efficiency)을 구하고, 변이계수가 알려져 있지 않는 경우에는 몬테칼로 방법(Monte Carlo method)으로 점근 상대효율(asymptotic relative efficiency)을 구하였다.

영문 초록

This study has been carried out in the population of normal distribution to infer more effectively the estimates of the location parameter(LP) in accordance with the sample size and the change of variation coefficient when the coefficient of variation(CV) is known by the previous studies and to do so for the better estimates of the LP using the estimated CV by the previous studies when CV is not known. To attain this purpose, the relative efficiency is estimated and used when CV is known and the asymptotic relative efficiency(ARE) is calculated by Monte Carlo method when CV is not known. On the other hand, when the Bayes estimates are utilized, the ARE of he new estimate on LP for previously studied estimates is calculated in accordance with the sample size, the change of CV and the variation of scale parameter.
