국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 평가염려 완벽주의, 인지적 유연성, 사회불안, 학업소진 간의 관계를 알아보고, 평가염려 완벽주의가 학업소진에 미치는 영향을 인지적 유연성과 사회불안이 매개하는지, 하나의 모형 내에서 여러 변인의 매개효과를 동시에 추정하는 병렬다중매개모형을 통해 검증하였다. 부산에 소재한 4개의 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 1~4학년 대학생 328명에게 평가염려 완벽주의, 인지적 유연성, 사회불안, 학업소진을 측정하는 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 평가염려 완벽주의는 인지적 유연성과 부적 상관을, 사회불안 그리고 학업소진과는 모두 정적 상관을 보였다. 인지적 유연성은 사회불안, 학업소진과 부적 상관을 보였으며, 사회불안은 학업소진과 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 병렬다중매개효과를 검증한 결과에서 평가염려 완벽주의와 학업소진 간의 관계에서 인지적 유연성과 사회불안의 매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 대학생의 평가염려 완벽주의가 학업소진에 직접적인 영향을 주고 있을 뿐만 아니라 인지적 유연성과 사회불안을 통해 학업소진에 간접적인 영향을 주고 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학생의 학업소진에 대한 이해를 높이고 이를 다루는 대학 현장에서 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between college students’ evaluative concerns perfectionism, cognitive flexibility, social anxiety, and academic burnout, and to reveal the impact of evaluative concerns perfectionism on academic burnout through the medium of cognitive flexibility and social anxiety. A survey was conducted on 328 students in the 1st to 4th grade attending four universities in Busan, and the data was analyzed using a parallel multi-parameter model that estimates the mediating effect of several variables simultaneously. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the evaluative concerns perfectionism of college students showed a negative correlation with cognitive flexibility, and a positive correlation with social anxiety and academic burnout. Cognitive flexibility was negatively correlated with social anxiety and academic burnout, and social anxiety was positively correlated with academic burnout. Second, as a result of verifying the effect of parallel multi-mediation, it was found that the mediating effect of cognitive flexibility and social anxiety on the relation between the evaluative concerns perfectionism and the academic burnout was significant. This means that college students evaluative concerns perfectionism not only affects academic burnout directly, but also indirectly through cognitive flexibility and social anxiety. The results of this study will be helpful to enhance the understanding of college students’ academic burnout, and can be used as basic data to cope with related issues in universities.
