중국 국내무역의 지역경제성장에 대한 영향 분석－국내무역 순유출지수의 공간계량패널분석을 중심으로－

국문 초록

무역은 경제성장을 야기하는가? 이와 관련한 많은 연구들은 양자 간의 관계를 규명하기 위해 진행되었다. 또한 중국 경제의 부상과 함께 많은 연구들은중국의 국내무역이 경제성장을 촉진하는 지에 대해 분석하였다. 무역과 경제성장을 설명하는 대표적인 이론으로 Ricardo의 비교우위와 AdamSmith의 절대우위가 있다. 그러나 Ricardo의 비교우위는 사전적인 비교우위가존재하는 않는 상황에서 설명력이 없으며, Adam Smith의 절대우위는 분업과결합한 내생적 비교우위로 국내무역의 중요성이 설명된다. 실증분석은 3유형의 공간가중치행렬을 이용한 공간계량모형으로 중국의 국내무역이 지역경제성장을 촉진하는지 분석하였다. 그리고 상용되는 국내무역의지표(사회소매총액)의 결점을 극복하기 위하여 심층 분석을 거쳐 국내무역 순유출지수를 새로이 구축하였다. 분석결과는 3가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 국내무역 순유출지수는 지역경제(2002년 기준 실질소득)을 유의미하게 촉진하였다. 둘째, 공간적 파급효과가 직접효과보다 컸다. 이는 국내무역이 이미 시장통합을 촉진할 수 있을 만큼 발전되었음을 반영한다. 셋째, 상호작용항의 경우, 금융위기 이후 음의 유의성을 보이는데 이는 국내무역과 국제무역이 밀접한 관계를 가지며 세계경제의 호황 중국내무역은 더욱 높은 수준으로 경제성장을 야기함을 의미한다.

영문 초록

Does trade cause economic growth? A lot of researches have been conducted toverify the relationship between them. In addition, with the rise of the Chineseeconomy, many studies have been investigated the question that domestic tradepromote economic growth in china. On this background, this paper addresses thisproblem by focusing on domestic trade. For theoretical consideration, we find that Ricardo’s comparative advantages losesits explanatory power in the absence of prior comparative advantage. And whencombined with the division of labor, Adam Smith’s absolute advantage theory canbe used as endogenous comparative advantage and it can also look at theimportance of domestic trade. As empirical analysis, this paper examines the question of domestic tradepromotes regional economic growth in china, using spatial econometrics with threeweighted matrix. And in order to overcome the common domestic trade indicators(total retail sales of consumer goods) shortcomings, domestic trade net outflowindex are newly built for in-depth analysis. The analysis reveals three mainconclusions. The domestic trade net outflow index are significantly promote economic growth(real per capita income; 2002 as the base), Second, the spillover effect isgreat than the direct effect, reflecting that the structure of the domestic trade alreadyhas been developed enough to promote market integration. Third, in the model withinteraction term, it shows that the interaction term was negative significantly sincethe financial crisis, indicating that the relationship between interacting terms is veryclose and also higher levels of domestic trade promotes economic growth whenworld economy recovers.
