SDGs 기반 융복합교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 핵심역량에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생들을 대상으로 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)에 연계된 지속가능발전교육(ESD) 내용을 주제로 한 융복합교육 프로그램 수업을 적용하여 2015 개정 교육과정에 제시된 6개 핵심역량 신장에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ESD와 역량, 융복합교육 개념을 관통하는 맥락성에 기반하여, 기 개발된 SDGs-ESD 콘텐츠맵을 바탕으로 2015 개정 교육과정을 분석한 뒤 적합한 주제를 선정하였다. 융복합교육 프로그램은 ABCD 원리를 적용하여 ADDIE 모형의 절차에 따라 개발하였으며, 총 20차시 분량의 2개 프로그램으로 전문가 집단의 타당도 검증을 받아 5학년 학생들에게 적용하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면, SDGs 기반 융복합교육 프로그램의 적용은 초등학생들의 핵심역량 향상에 기여하는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, 2015 개정 교육과정 중 지식정보처리 역량, 창의적 사고 역량, 심미적 감성 역량이 프로그램 적용 후 유의미하게 향상되었다. 비교집단의 핵심역량 전체 평균도 약간 향상되었으나 통계적으로 유의미하지는 않았다. 마지막으로 학생 인터뷰 결과를 통해 실험집단 학습자들은 대체로 융복합교육 프로그램을 긍정적으로 생각하고 있으며, 융복합교육 프로그램이 핵심역량 신장에 기여할 뿐 아니라, 학습자의 참여를 끌어내는 데도 도움이 됨을 짐작할 수 있었다. 이에 융복합교육 실행 확대를 위한 후속 연구가 적극 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out the impact on the six core competences presented in the revised 2015 curriculum by applying the Convergence education about ESD (Sustainable Development Education) subject to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for elementary school students. To this end, based on the contextuality that penetrates the concept of ESD, competence and convergence education, the 2015 revised curriculum was analyzed based on the SDGs-ESD content map developed previously, and the appropriate topics were selected. The convergence education program was developed according to the ADDIE model procedure by applying the ABCD principle. The program was applied to 5th grade students after the validity of the expert group was verified with two programs of 20 lessons. According to the research results, the application of SDGs-based convergence education program contributes to the improvement of core competencies of elementary school students. In particular, among the core competences of2015 revised curriculum, knowledge information processing, creative thinking, and aesthetic sensitivity were significantly improved after application of the program. In addition, according to the average improvement the average change of the core competencies of the comparative group, it was found that the 2015 revised curriculum was a competency-based curriculum. Finally, the results of the student interviews showed that the experimental group learners generally considered the convergence education program positively, and that the convergence education program not only contributed to the enhancement of core competencies, but also helped to induce the participation of the learners. Therefore, further research is needed to expand the implementation of convergence education.
