초등학생 진로발달 유형에 관한 잠재프로파일분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생 진로발달 유형을 분류하고, 각 유형별 특징과 유형 분류에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 초등학생 대상의 표준화 진로검사도구인 진로발달검사(CDI)에 응답한 초등학교 4∼6학년 학생 680명의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 잠재프로파일 분석 결과, 진로성숙도와 흥미 수준에 따른 초등학생의 진로발달 잠재프로파일은 총 4개로 분류되었고 이를 ‘저 진로성숙, 낮은 흥미형’, ‘중 진로성숙, 흥미탐색형’, ‘고 진로성숙, 흥미분화형’, ‘고 진로성숙, 다흥미추구형’으로 명명하였다. 또한 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과, 성, 학년, 지역, 흥미 변별도가 진로발달 잠재집단 분류에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 남학생일수록, 학년이 낮을수록, 농촌 지역 소재의 학교를 다니는 학생일수록 ‘저 진로성숙, 낮은 흥미형’에 속할 확률이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 기초로 초등학생의 진로발달 촉진을 위한 진로교육 방향과 관련 연구에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to classify latent profiles of elementary school students’ career development using Latent Profile Analysis(LPA) and to test the effects of related variables on the profiles. For this purpose, final sample included 680 Korean elementary school students. Based on the results of the latent profile analysis, we identified four types of career development : ‘low-level career maturity, low-level interest’, ‘middle-level career maturity, interest exploration’, ‘high-level career maturity, interest differentiation’, ‘high-level career maturity, various interest pursuit’. Additionally, Multinomial logistic regression results showed that each distinctive career development profile can be identified by some of predictors: gender, academic grades, school location, level of vocational interest differentiation. Specifically, the more males, the lower grades, and the students attending rural schools were likely to belong to the ‘low-level career maturity/low-level interest’ group. The study suggests that elementary school teacher make effort to develop the differential intervention for student in career education and guidance based on each group characteristic.
