국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 교양과목, 일반영어, 그리고 교양과목과 전공과목의 연계로서 특수목적언어(LSP), 특수목적영어(ESP)와 전공과목과 같이 무관한 교과목들을 국제전문자격증 취득이라는 목표 하에 패키지화하여 학습함으로서 교양, 학문의 추구와 실용적인 목적을 동시에 달성하고자 하는 방법론을 제공하고 모형을 설정하는 것이다. 이러한 방법과 모형은 역량기반 교육의 관점에서 접근할 수 있다. 전공교육과 교양교육의 연결점을 찾아 지식과 학문을 통합적이고 총체적으로 접근하여 융합학문적으로 접근할 수 있도록 해주는 것이 역량기반 교육이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문이 하나의 효과적이고 효율적인 제도로서 제안하는 것은 ‘국제전문자격증 취득을 위한 패키지 모형’이다. 이러한 제도로서의 모형은 수요자 중심의 서비스를 제공함으로서 학생들에게 지성인으로 교양을 넓히고, 다양한 직업선택의 기회를 제공하는데 기여한다. 아울러 시야를 해외로 확장하면서, 세계무대에서의 활동을 위한 유용한 도구인 국제전문자격증을 구비하고, 진정한 세계화의 동참할 수 있는 기회를 부여할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 적용된 ‘국제전문자격증 취득을 위한 패키지 모형’의 구체적인 예는 미국공인회계사이다. 이 모형을 통하여 미국공인회계사 자격취득과 관련되는 교양과목, 특수목적영어 및 전공과목의 융복합 교육을 통하여 실제적인 미국공인회계사 자격증 취득방안을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide a methodology and set up a model for studying such seemingly unrelated subjects as liberal arts, English, LSP and ESP as connections to liberal arts and majors by packaging them, aiming at acquiring internationally recognized certificates. Both the pursuit of scholarship and practical purposes can be realized by the methodology and the model, which can be approached from the view point of competency based education. Searching for linking points between liberal arts and majors, the competency based education enables students to approach knowledge and science convergently. A suggestion as an effective and efficient system in this study is ‘A packaging model for acquiring internationally recognized certificates’. By providing consumer oriented services, the model as a system helps to cultivate liberal arts for students and provides various opportunities of career choices. Extending their vision into the world, it also endows them with internationally recognized certificates, a useful tool for working in the world arena. The specific example applied to this model for acquiring internationally recognized certificates is the certificate of Certified Public Accountant issued by AICPA. The actual method of acquiring the certificate of Certified Public Accountant is presented through convergent education of liberal arts, ESP, and majors.
