사회적 자본이 청소년 비행 유형에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 광주, 순천시 보호관찰소 보호프로그램중인 청소년을 중심으로 지역사회의 사회적 자본과 청소년의 비행 유형과의 연관성을 실증적으로 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 가족구성원별 청소년 비행 유형에서는 도피, 폭력, 재산, 성 비행 모두에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나고 있으며, 특히 부모와 비동거일 때가 가장 차이가 크게 나타났다. 이는 청소년시기에 가정에서 부모역할 즉, 따끔한 훈육과 정서적 지지를 통한 자아통제력 강화가 무엇보다 중요함에도 부모역할의 부재 혹은 결핍되어 있는 것으로 해석된다. 또한 지역사회에서 긍정적인 지도자와 애착관계를 형성하는 교사 혹은 친구 관계도 도피 비행이 낮아지고 예방의 효과가 있음에 주목해야 할 필요가 있다. 청소년의 사회적 자본인 지역사회 협력이 높아질수록 재산비행이 낮아졌으며,신뢰가 높아질수록 폭력비행이 낮아진다는 것을 알 수 있다. 연구결과는 청소년에게 비행을 간접적으로 예방하는 중요한 자원이 되는 사회적 자본의 존재를 실증하였다. 본 연구에서 청소년의 사회적 자본을 구성하는 가장 주요한 개념은 청소년과 부모와의 관계에 있으며, 지역사회협력과 신뢰는 청소년비행을 예방하는데 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있는 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to empirically explore the association between social capital of the community and the types of juvenile delinquency among youths in the protection program of Gwangju and Suncheon probation centers. The main results of this study showed that there were significant differences in all types of juvenile delinquency among family members, including escape, violence, property, and sexual delinquency, especially when they were not living with their parents. This is interpreted as the absence or lack of parental role even though it is most important to strengthen the self-control through parental discipline and emotional support at home during adolescence. It is also worth noting that teacher or friend relationships that create attachments with positive leaders in the community are less likely to flee and are effective in preventing them. The higher the community cooperation, the social capital of youth, the lower the property flight, and the higher the trust, the lower the violent flight. The findings demonstrated the existence of social capital, an important resource for indirectly preventing misconduct in adolescents. In this study, we found that the most important concept that constitutes social capital of adolescents is the relationship between adolescents and their parents, and community cooperation and trust play an important role in preventing juvenile delinquency.
