영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the aspects of the meaning extension of the Sweet and Bitter Taste expressions. This paper is divided up into four chapters. In chapter 1, I examine thoroughly the results of pre-studies about the Korean Taste-terms, and then present accounts of the aim and the scope of this paper. In chapter 2 and 3, I explore the aspects of the meaning extension of the Sweet Taste and Bitter Taste expressions. I analyze and describe the meaning of these expressions by metaphor and metonymy on the basis of experientialism of cognitive linguistics. In chapter 4, I summarize the discussion and present the subjects to be studied.
