영문 초록

This study aimed at examining memory in the poems of Seo, Jung-Ju who kept the memory of his contemporaries well in『JilMaJae myth』and『8/10 appeared with wind』 as a representative poet of Korean literature history. The power of memory in his poems was marvelous. It was not easy to distinguish memory from history, as both intersected each other. The poetry text was dealt with apart from historical ideology and the author. However, the spirit of the times was immanent in the memory resident in the text. Accordingly,『JilMaJae myth』 and『8/10 appeared with wind』 out of the poetry of Seo, Jung-Ju were selected and analyzed in view of intertextuality applying memory theory. Recently, memory theory has been emerging as an alternative, a new paradigm for switching over a crisis of humane studies into an opportunity. Memory adjusts and typifies real experiences representing perfect experience . This is the difference between memory and history expressed in the poetry text. Memory process is defined as the power of memory recollecting the ideas timelessly. Memory in the poems of Seo, Jung-Ju was similar to involuntary memory, which could parallel collective unconsciousness.
