국문 초록

본 글에서는 해외에서 전개된 여성항일운동에 대해 먼저 시대적인 연구의 변화과정에 대해 살펴보고, 이어 지역별로 구분해서 검토하였다. 주로 중국 관내, 만주, 러시아, 미주 등을 중심으로 분석하였다. 해외 한인 여성항일운동에 대한 글이 발표되기 시작한 것은 1971년부터였다. 1970년대부터 1980년대까지 냉전과 분단이라는 국내외 현실로 인하여 공산주의 진영에서 전개했던 항일운동에 대해서는 거의 연구가 되지 않았다. 주로 발표된 글의 분야를 보면 남자현과 김마리아에 대한 개인 인물에 대한 소개, 일본, 간도, 노령, 상해, 미주 등에서 전개된 여성항일운동에 대한 간단한 설명에 그쳤다. 1989년 베를린 장벽이 무너지면서 해외항일운동에 대한 연구도 지평을 확대하기 시작했다. 공산주의 진영과 관련이 조금이라도 있던 여성 인물들이 조명되기 시작했다. 1993년 이후 3.1여성동지회에서는 거의 매년 학술발표회를 개최하여 2019년 오늘날까지 지속적으로 여성독립운동가들을 재조명하였다. 이 단체에서 개최한 학술발표회에서 해외에서 활동한 여성독립운동가들에 대한 조명이 집중적으로 이루어졌다. 2000년 이후에 가장 많이 발표된 연구논문은 임시정부와 관계된 여성들에 대한 연구였다. 최근에 들어서 만주에서 활동한 한인 여성들의 항일운동과 관련된 몇 편의 연구 성과가 나왔다. 1971년부터 지속적으로 해외에서 항일운동을 전개한 한인 여성들에 대한 글과 논문이 발표되었지만, 여전히 그 윤곽조차 그리기 어렵다. 일제강점기 한인 여성들의 항일운동은 개인의 인적 네트워크에 의해서 이루어졌다. 그러므로 개인 인물에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어져야 해외 한인 여성들의 항일운동에 대한 특성을 파악할 수 있을 것이라고 본다.

영문 초록

In this article, I first reviewed the process of change in the historical research on women s anti-Japanese movements broadly on aboard and then concretely by region. The analysis was conducted mainly in China, Manchuria, Russia, and America. It was in 1971 that articles on overseas Korean women s anti-Japanese movement began to be published. Little research has been conducted on the anti-Japanese movements developed by the communist camp from the 1970s to the 1980s due to the domestic and international realities of the Cold War and the division of Korea into north and south. In the field of published articles, I introduced only the personal figures about Nan Ja-Hyun and Kim Maria, and briefly explained the women s anti-Japanese movement in Japan, Manchuria, Noryeong(Siberia in Russia), Shanghai, and the Americas. As the Berlin Wall collapsed in 1989, the study of the overseas anti-Japanese movement began to expand. Women who had anything to do with the communist camp began to be illuminated. Since 1993, the 3.1 Women s Association has held annual conferences almost every year and has continued to re-examine women s independence activists until 2019. At the conference held by the group, the focus was on women independence activists working abroad. The most widely published research paper after 2000 was the study of women involved with the Provisional Government. Recently, several studies related to the anti-Japanese movement of Korean women in Manchuria have been made. Since 1971, articles and papers on Korean women who have continued their anti-Japanese campaigns abroad have been published, but the outline is still difficult to draw. During the Japanese colonial period, the anti-Japanese movement of Korean women was carried out by the personal network of individuals. Therefore, it is necessary to study a lot of individual characters to understand the characteristics of the anti-Japanese movement of Korean women abroad.
