말하기 중심 수업에서의 동료튜터링 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

국문 초록

현재 각 대학별로 교양교육원이나 글쓰기센터를 중심으로 튜터링 프로그램이 활성화되고 있는 추세이다. 이에 반해, 말하기에 중점을 둔 튜터링 프로그램은 찾아보기 어렵고, 이에 관한 사례 연구 또한 드물다. 본 논문의 목적은 ‘토론’에 기초한 말하기 중심 수업에서의 동료튜터링 사례에 관한 연구를 바탕으로 튜터링을 활용한 말하기, 의사소통 중심의 교수학습활동에 있어 적절한 기술과 방법을 제공하는 것이다. 이에 현재 목원대학교 교양교과목인 <토론과 글쓰기> 수업에서 시행되고 있는 토론튜터제에 관한 사례를 분석하고, 튜터링을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 구체적으로 고안하였다. 본 논문의 2장에서는 먼저, 튜터의 개념과 역할에 대해 살펴보고, 다음으로 토론튜터제 현황과 튜터의 역할, ‘토론 전-토론 중-토론 후’에 해당하는 토론 절차에 따른 활동내용을 살펴보았다. 3장에서는 현재 튜터링의 문제점을 진단하여 이에 보다 내실을 기하고, 효과적으로 활성화하기 위한 전략적 방안의 하나로서 ‘오픈 튜터링’에 기초한 ‘튜터링 보고서’ 작성 강화와 학습모둠 내에서의 공개를 통한 튜티와의 공유, ‘튜터링 성찰일지’의 적극적 도입과 활용을 제안해 보았다. 튜터제나 튜터링 프로그램은 학습튜티들의 학업성취도를 높이고, 학력 손실을 예방하기 위한 실질적 요구조건에 부합해야 한다는 점에 동의하는 바이다. 그러나 이에 앞서 튜터와 튜터링의 본질적 의미는 ‘튜터-튜티’간, ‘튜티-튜티’ 간에 개입하여 적극적인 촉진자로서, 사회적 관계 조직자로서의 성실한 역할 수행에 있다. 이를 위해서는 튜터 스스로의 인지활동에 해당하는 자신의 튜터링 과정과 활동 전반에 관한 의식적 모니터링 활동과 점검활동이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때, 본 연구가 튜터들의 교육 및 모니터링 활동, 튜터의 질적인 성장에 내실을 기하기 위한 하나의 적절한 방안으로 기능할 수 있으리라 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to resolve the problem that happens in applying to tutoring system and tutoring program in speaking based lesson. With This, this paper seeks specific activating way about peer tutoring. In this study in 2 chapter, I considerate debate tutoring system’s current state, role and major activity content that take effect in subject courses in Mokwon University. Tutoring system or tutoring program’s effects is to improve students schoolworks and satisfy real requirements to prevent their academic loss. However, tutoring system or tutoring program has effects and meaning like this. First, tutoring as a faithful assistant is able to contribute to learning environment and academic atmosphere. Consequently, It brings a better learning effect. Second, tutoring as a active facilitator can help mutual communication and opinion coordination between ‘learner-learner’ and ‘professor-learner’. As a result, It makes lesson’s flows smoothly. Third, tutor as a social relationship organizer is able to resolve conflict and dispute in learning group. As a result, tutor can contribute to enriching emotional connectedness among learners and to hardening teamwork among them. In 3 chapter, I suggest strengthening ‘tutoring report’ writing and utilizing actively ‘tutoring-reflection diary’ as a way for internal stability of present tutoring. In 3 chapter, I consider practical application and practical case in classroom by programs showed on 2 chapter. It is practiced based on ‘group processing’ as a part of cooperative learning. ‘Group processing’ is that members who make a group is to examine and structuralize group activity. It is for performing their goals effectively. In the process, tutor’s monitoring and feedback and reflection about tutoring is very important because it influences on strengthening tutor’s ability and will have a positive effect on tutor’s educational growth. I will expect that a study on this paper will be a proper way for insure substantiality in tutor’s qualitative development.
