전국 오월창작가요제의 주제에 관한 일고찰

국문 초록

본 논문은 전국 오월창작가요제의 주제가 음악과 가사에 어떻게 표현되는 지에 관하여 고찰하였다. 5.18 민주화운동 30주년을 맞이하여 ‘민주, 인권, 평화’의 가치를 노래로 알리고 기억하고자 2010년에 시작한 전국 오월창작가 요제는 올해로 9회를 맞는다. 매년 400여 곡의 창작곡이 지원하여 누적 3400 여 곡에 이르며 서울을 비롯한 전국에서 가요제에 참가하고 있다. 연구대상으로 삼은 본선 진출 80곡의 음악적 특징으로는 록과 포크 장르가 가장 높은 비율을 보였다. 이는 그 장르가 가진 ‘자유와 저항, 시대를 노래하는 정신’의 특성과 관계가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 오월창작가요제가 제안하는 주제 표현양상을 각 주제별로 살펴보면 ‘시대정신’과 ‘자유와 저항정신’이 높은 비율을 차지 했다. 이 또한 오월창작가요제가 중요하게 여기는 바와 같았으며, 가사를 통해 직접적으로 표현하는 곡이 간접적으로 표현하는 곡보다 높은 비율을 보였 다. 가요제에서 제안하는 주제는 ‘시대정신’, ‘자유와 저항정신’, ‘오월 정신’, ‘공동체 정신’, ‘삶과 사랑의 노래’ 등으로 크게 5가지이나, 주제 자체나 가사 에서 중복되는 경우가 있으므로 주제에 대한 정리가 필요하다고 여겨진다. 마지막으로 시대의 가치를 노래로 표현하는 음악인들에게 주어지는 기회와 지원에 의의를 두는 만큼, 오월창작가요제의 주제가 지원자들의 지원동기와 실제적인 음악 활동에 어떠한 영향이 있는지에 관한 후속연구를 제안하는 바이다.

영문 초록

This paper examines how the theme of the national songwriting festival in May is expressed in music and lyrics. 5.18 To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the democratization movement, the National Creation Festival in May, which started in 2010 to celebrate the value of ‘democracy, human rights and peace’ as a song, celebrates its 9th anniversary this year. Each year, 400 pieces of original songs are supported and accumulated over 3,400 songs. They are participating in the song festival all over the country including Seoul. The rock and folk genres were the highest in 80 musical characteristics of the main line. This is related to the characteristics of the genre ‘freedom and resistance, the spirit of singing the age’. Looking at the thematic expression patterns suggested by the creative song festival in May, “the spirit of the times” and “the spirit of freedom and resistance” occupied a high proportion. This also seemed to be important in the creation of songwriting in May, and showed a higher proportion of songs directly expressing through lyrics than indirectly expressed by songs. There are five major themes proposed in the song class, namely the spirit of the times, the spirit of freedom and resistance, the spirit of May, the spirit of community, and the song of life and love. It is considered necessary to organize the topic.Finally, I suggest a follow-up study on how motivational motivations of volunteers and actual musical activities are influenced by the themes of the May creative song festival as well as their significance to the opportunities and support given to musicians who express the values of the times.
