국문 초록

故事成語는 故事性의 有無에 따라 고사성어와 일반성어로 분류된 개념이고, 또 四字成語는 글자 수에 따라 분류된 개념으로 이 모든 것을 포괄하는 것이 漢字成語이다. 그러기에 모두를 동일한 개념으로 보아서는 안 된다. 다양한 제작원리를 통해서 만들어진 고사성어는 주로 文學·史學·哲學 위주의 전적들에서 유래되었다. 문학에서는 소설·산문·시·희곡 등 다양하게 유래되었는데 그중 소설이 가장 두드러진다. 특히 백화통속소설 《三國演義》와 문언소설 《世說新語》에서 유래된 것이 많다. 역사에 있어서는 故事成語 自體가 歷史故事性을 가지고 있기에 가장 많은 고사성어를 만들어 냈다. 그중 《史記》는 고사성어의 寶庫라 할 만큼 압도적으로 많다. 또 철학 및 종교의 경전에서는 道家의 《莊子》·《列子》·《韓非子》와 儒家의 《論語》와 《孟子》 등에서 많은 고사성어가 유래되었다. 중국 고사성어는 국내에 유입되어 다양한 방법을 통하여 수용과 변용이 이루어졌다. 물론 동일한 한자와 동일한 의미로 수용되어 사용된 것이 대부분이지만 다소 변형된 한자와 의미를 가진 고사성어도 상당수 있다. 또 심지어는 중국인조차도 모르는 한국형 고사성어가 만들어지기도 하였다.

영문 초록

Idiom is a concept classified into an ancient event and general idiom by the existence of ancient event. also a four-character idiom is classified idea according to the number of letters, which all of these could be embrace as Chinese character idiom. As such, every idiom should not be regard as same notion. Idioms were made through various production principles, mainly originated from the literature, history, and philosophy. The novel, prose, poetry, and plays were variously originated in literature. Among them, there are many novels that originate idiom, especially from 三國演義San-guo-yan-yi and 世說新語Shi-suo-xin-yu. When it comes to history, the idiom itself have a historical bygones that produced the large number of idiom. Of that, 史記 Shi-Ji have many idiom to be called as repository of idiom. In addition, at Taoist ideology 莊子zhuang-zi·列子lie-zi·韓非子han-fei-zi, and Confucian ideology 論語lun-yu·孟子 meng-zi have originated many idiom from philosophy and religion scripture. The Chinese idiom was introduced into Korea and accepted, transformed through various methods. Of course, most of them were accepted, used as same Chinese characters and meaning, but there are considerable number of idiom that have different Chinese characters and meaning. Furthermore, there are Korean idiom that even the Chinese do not know.
