국문 초록

초의의東茶頌』은 한국 차문화사에서 절대적 위상을 차지하고 있다. 그런데 처음 제목이었던 東茶行이 어떤 연유로 해서 동다송으로 바뀌게 되었는지에 대해서는 명확한 설명이 부족한 상태이다. 儒學과 문학에 대한 관심이 많았던 초의는 정약용, 김정희를 비롯한 실학자들과 교류하면서 考證學과 문심조룡의 이론을 접하게 되었다. 그래서 칭송하고 찬미하는 ‘頌’의 의미를 좇아 제목을 동다송으로 바꾸었던 것이다. 동다송을 문심조룡의 감상원리를 적용해서 고찰해 보면 정통성이 있는 경전의 내용과 그 사유방식을 따르는 ‘典雅한 純正美’를 찾을 수 있다. 또 고상하고 기품 있는 ‘優雅한 調和 美’의 극치인 中正이라는 현묘한 경지를 다도의 궁극으로 제시하고 있는 것도 알 수 있다. 특히 물질적 존재인 차에 인격성을 부여한 초의의 창의적인 발상과 또 서로 다른 존재들의 만남에서 和而不同의 원칙을 지키면서 화합하라는 메시지는 오늘날 茶人들이 마음에 새겨야 할 座右銘이라고 생각한다.

영문 초록

Choeui s Dongdasong occupies an absolute position in the Korean tea culture history. However, there is a lack of clarity as to why the first title Dongdahaing, was replaced. Choeui, who had a lot of interest in Confucianism and literature, met with a bibliographical study of Chinese classics and Wenxindiaolong s theories while exchanging with Jeong Yak-yong and Kim Jeong-hee and other scholars. As a result, Choeui changed the title to Dongdasong according to the meaning of Song in Wenxindiaolong, which praises and praises. By applying the principle of appreciation of Dongdasong to Wenxindiaolong, we can find authentic pure beauty that follows the contents of the legendary scriptures and its way of thinking. It also shows that the tea ceremony is the ultimate of tea ceremony, which is the highest level of elegant and harmonious graceful harmony beauty . Especially, I think that the message that the tea person should be engraved in mind today is the creative idea of giving the personality to the material entity tea and the harmony of keeping the principle of unity in meeting the different beings.
