타나베 하지메, 절대무의 매개 그리고 신 문제

국문 초록

타나베 하지메는 “절대는 무”라는 명제를 통해 절대인 무는 스스로 존재하는 것이 아니며, 언제나 상대인 유를 매개로 하여 자신을 유 가운데 드러낸다고 말한다. 그리고 그는 “절대무는 사랑” 이라고 보면서, 사랑인 절대무는 자기를 부정하고 자신의 고유한 실체를 갖지 않는다고 말한다. 절대무는 자기부정을 통해 유가 된다. 타나베는 유대교의 유신론과 기독교의 신관을 다르게 본다. 그는 예수 그리스도가 겪은 십자가 상에서의 죽음과 부활을 통해, 절대무의 자기 부정을 보며, 인간을 향한 절대무의 사랑의 운동을 본다. 인간과 세상 곧 유의 세계는 자기를 부정하는 절대무를 매개로 하여 자신을 실현한다. 신의 사랑을 받은 인간은 무화되는 과정을 통해 자신을 실현하고, 타인을 사랑하며 신의 사랑을 완성해 간다. 그런 식으로 타나베 하지메는 절대무 개념을 통해 신론과 자신의 종교철학을 제시한다.

영문 초록

Tanabe Hajime says, through the these “the absolute is nothingness”, that the nothingness as absolute doesn’ t exist alone itself and manifests always itself through the mediation of being which is relative. And on thinking that ‘the absolute nothingness is love", he urges that the absolute nothingness negates itself and that, being love, it doesn’ t have its proper substance. For Tanabe, the absolute nothingness can be being only through the mediation of its self-negation. Tanabe sees differently the Christian' s theory of God from the theism of Judai sm. Through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and his resurrection, Tanabe sees the self-negation of the absolute nothingness and the love of the absolute nothingness for humanity. Human being and the world, that is the world of being, can be realized itself through the mediation of the absolute nothingness which negates itself. Human being who is receiving the love of God, can realize oneself through the processes of one’s empty, and can go to accomplish the love of God on loving the other person. By this way Tanabe proposes his theory of God and hi s religiou s philosophy through hi s idea about the absolute nothingness.
