국문 초록

본고에서 필자는 (朝鮮活字本이 남아있는 부분에 국한된) 최소 6종 판본, 일부에서는 최대 11종 이상의 三國志演義 판본간의 對校 작업을 통해 얻은 결론을 압축적으로 제시한다. 이는 현존하는 삼국지연의 초기 판본을 거의 망라한 교감 작업으로서, 특히 기존에 연구가 충분하지 않았던 朝鮮活字本, 朝鮮飜刻本, 樂善齋本, 2종 滿譯本(3종 텍스트), 上海殘葉, 夏振宇本을 對校 범위에 모두 포함했다는 점에서 현 단계 三國志演義 판본 교감 연구의 집대성 성격을 가진다. 이를 기반으로 필자는 삼국지연의 초기 판본의 계보를 둘러싼 관련 학술 현안을 다시 한 번 종합적으로 검토해보고자 하였다. 제2장에서는 먼저 嘉靖本이 孤本이라는 점과 현존 AB계열 판본의 텍스트가 일부분에 있어서는 현존 CD계열 판본에 비해 羅貫中의 原本 텍스트에서 더 멀어졌다는 점을 논증하였다. 이어서 말미에서 필자는 현존 AB계열 판본의 계보를 분석하기 위한 교감 방법론을 제시하였다. 제3장 제1절에서는 朝鮮活字本이 AB계열에 속한 이유에 대해 논증하였다. 이어서 제2절에서는 먼저 嘉靖本이 上海殘葉 및 朝鮮活字本과 다른 판본 계열에 속한다는 점과 上海殘葉이 AB계열에 속한 이유에 대해 논증하였고, 다시 周曰校本甲本(=朝鮮飜刻本)의 參校本이 A계열이 아니라 AB계열(아마도 上海殘葉)인 이유 및 周曰校本甲本이 周曰校本乙本과 周曰 校本丙本보다 선행하는 이유에 대해서도 논증하였다. 제3절에서는 夏振宇本이 周曰校本보다 선행한다는 점에 대해 논증하였다. 본고의 의의를 요약하자면, 웨스트를 위시한 판본 학자들의 공통된 결론을 (그들과 다른) 텍스트 교감의 방법으로 다시 한 번 확증하였다는 점, 그리고 기존에 연구가 충분하지 않았던 상기 여러 판본을 망라하여 三國志演義 AB계열 판본의 계보를 좀 더 구체화했으며 아울러 웨스트의 판본 계보도의 해당 부분을 일부 수정했다는 점을 들 수 있다.

영문 초록

In this paper, I comprehensively present the conclusions obtained through the work of a comparative texual criticism between 6 to 11 editions of Romance of the Three Kingdoms(limited to the remaining parts of Chosun Metal Type Edition). This is a close sympathetic work of the early editions of the present Three Kingdoms, and in particular, it contains all of the editions which that had not been fully studied. Based on this, I tried to review the relevant academic issues surrounding the genealogy of the early editions of Three Kingdoms. In Chapter 2, we first demonstrate that Jiajing Edition is the isolated edition and that the text of the existing AB-series edition is, in part, farther away from the original text than the existing CD-series edition. Then, at the end, I presented two methodologies for analyzing the genealogy of existing AB series editions. Section 1 of Chapter 3 has argued why Chosun Metal Type Edition belongs to the AB-series. In Section 2, we first demonstrate that Jiajing Edition belongs to a different series from Shanghai Folios and Chosun Metal Type Edition, and the reason why Shanghai Folios belongs to the AB-series, and the reference version of Zhou Yuexiao Edition-A(Probably Shanghai Folios), and why Zhou Yuexiao Edition-A precedes Zhou Yuexiao Edition-B and Zhou Yuexiao Edition-C. Section 3 demonstrated that Xia Zhenyu Edition is older than Zhou Yuexiao Edition. To summarize the significance of this paper, it is clear that the common conclusions of scholars represented by Andrew West have once again been proved by the method of text critisism. In addition, by the work of incorporating several of the above editions, which had not been sufficiently studied in the past, we have further elaborated the genealogy of the AB-series of Three Kingdoms and have made some corrections to that part of Andrew West’s the genealogy of the AB-series.
