발도르프학교 교사들의 교육관 형성에 관한 생애 사례 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 발도르프학교 현장에서 최선을 다하고 있는 두 명의 교사를 연구참여자로 선정하여 생애사적 심층면담을 중심으로 발도르프교육의 특징과 그들의 교육관을 탐색하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구참여자들은 발도르프교육을 접하기 전 학령기⋅청소년기로부터 선생님들의 긍정적․부정적 영향을 받으며 교육관이 형성되어 왔지만, 사회생활을 하면서 형성되어온 교육관과 부딪히며 갈등의 경험을 하였다. 둘째, 연구 참여자들은 발도르프교육을 통해 슈타이너의 교육철학인 인지학을 중심으로 아이들을 이해하게 되었다. 셋째, 연구참여자들은 발도르프교육의 교사로 살아가기 위해 교사회의, 교육연수 등 공동체의 중요성과 ‘돌아보기’라는 자기성찰을 하며 아이들을 교육하는 원동력으로 삼고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 연구참여자들은 청소년시기에 대체적으로 교사로부터 많은 영향을 받으며 그들의 교육관을 형성하게 된다. 그 형성된 교육관은 성인기를 거치면서 새로운 교육환경, 새로운 교육철학과 마주하며 재정립하고 있다. 또한 성인기에 새롭게 정립된 교육관은 교육자로서 실천적 삶을 통해 학생들에게 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 한 교사의 삶은 개인적인 영역에만 머무르지 않고, 사회 저변에 영향을 줄 수 있으므로 교사가 자신의 역량과 바른 교육관을 형성할 수 있는 교육환경이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The study selected two teachers who were doing their best in the field of Valdorf School to explore the characteristics of Valdorf education and their views on education, focusing on the historical depth of their lives. The results are summarized as follows. First, the participants of the study had a history of conflict in the face of education that had been formed by teachers in the early years of the school year, under the positive and negative influence of teachers. Second, through Valdorf education, research participants have come to understand children based on Stainer s pedagogy, cognitive. Third, to live as a teacher of the Valdorf education, participants in the study were using the community s importance, such as teachers association and education training, as a driving force to educate children by self-examination of look back. The results of these studies show that research participants are generally influenced by teachers in their adolescence and form their own views of education. The education center is redefining itself through adulthood, facing a new educational environment, and a new educational philosophy. In addition, the newly established education center in adulthood is affecting students through a practical life as an educator. Therefore, a teacher s life does not remain in personal areas, but it can affect the underlying social situation, so an educational environment in which a teacher can form his or her own competence and a proper view of education is required.
