국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인디애나 주립대 교육대학 내에 있는 교사 양성과정의 특성을 밝히는 것이다. 둘째, 선택된 지역 및 국제 파트너들이 왜 인디애나 주립대의 미래에 알맞고 중요한지를 검토 및 해석하는 것이다. 이 논문 주요내용에서는 국제적인 파트너쉽으로 미국의 인디애나 주립대와 한국의 제주대학교의 파트너쉽과 지역적인 파트너쉽으로 테라호테 한국어 센터와 인디애나 주립대 교육대학에 중점을 두고 있다. 이 논문은 잠재적인 파트너들이 현재 교사양성과정의 과거와 현재를 이해하도록 돕고 인디애나 주립대학교 교육대학 내의 교사양성과정의 밝은 미래를 위한 협력적인 파트너쉽을 구축할 기회를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

There are two purposes of this paper: 1) it is to introduce the history and characteristics of teacher education programs at Indiana State University (ISU) to other potential partnering institutions and 2) it is to explain about why the selected local and international partners are right for the future of teacher education programs at ISU through this paper. In this paper, I focused on the two partnerships such as the international partnership between Indiana State University, USA and Jeju National University in South Korea and the local partnership between Terre Haute Korean Language Center and Bayh College of Education (BCOE). It is meaningful and necessary to understand the past and present of ISU’s current teacher education programs for the potential partners and think of collaborative partnerships for the future direction of these programs at ISU.
