독도 자료집의 현황과 과제

국문 초록

본고는 90년대 이후 발간된 자료집 가운데 8종류를 선정, 게재현황을 분석하여 앞으로 보완해야 할 점을 제시하고자 한다. 자료집은 주로 시대순, 나라별로 사료를 싣고 있는데, 論著목록, 원문과 번역문, 해설, 지도 등의 수록 여부에 따라 약간씩 형태를 달리하고 있다. 이들 자료집은 한국과 일본 양국에서 자국의 독도 영유권을 주장하기에 적절한 일차 사료를 제시해 준다는 점에서 유효하지만, 게재과정에서 적지 않은 讀記와 讀譯을 보이고 있다. 대부분의 오기는 주로 干支나 철자, 서명, 인명 등에서 나타난다. 앞으로 발간될 자료집은 중복 게재와 오류를 줄이는 것은 물론이고 출전과 번역자를 명기 하는 등 자료집으로서의 기본 체제를 갖추어야 할 것이며, 아울러 사료의 權原으로서의 자리매김도 해주어야 할 것이다. 그리고 한국측 사료의 발굴과 함께 일본측 사료에 대한 면밀한 검토가 요구된다.

영문 초록

This research suggests complementary points demanded after selecting 8 of all material books published since 1990s and analyzing present state reported on them. All material books carry the historical materials by order of the times and by country and vary according as the bibliography, original text and translation, commentaries, and maps are found. These material books come into effect on the views that they provide a primary historical material needed for both Korea and Japan to claim their own territorial right over Dokdo, but show some errors in writing and translating. Most errors in writing are mainly found in the sexagenary cycle, spelling, the title of book, persons s name, and so on. The material book published for the future should complete a fundamental structure as an actual material book by reducing errors and duplicate reports, and by clearly writing the source and translator. It also should be regarded as an authoritative source. In addition, finding of Japanese historical materials and elaborate examination together with finding of Korean historical materials are necessary.
