국문 초록

본 논문은 동아시아공동체의 구축의 전략적 패러다임을 탐구한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 첫째, 이해에 중점을 둔 기왕의 동아시아 담론이 실천적 차원의 공동체 구축 전략으로 심화될 필요성 있다는 것을 제안한다. 둘째, 동아시아 지역화의 제약요인을 강조하기보다는 제약과 비전의 변증(辨證) 과정을 통한 동아시아공동체 구축의 가능성을 제시한다. 셋째, 동아시아공동 체는 유럽형 경성∙폐쇄형 지역화가아니라 연성∙개방∙호혜형 공동체 모델을 지향하되 그 구축 과정은 점진적 진화주의의 패러다임으로 접근되어야 함을 규명한다. 이와 함께 본 연구는 동북아공동체 구축의 로드맵을 첫째, 동북아와 동남아 지역을 주축으로 하되 미국, 러시아, 대양주 국가들의 참여를 다층화하는 개방주의적 지역통합 전략을 제안한다. 둘째, 동아시아공동체는 패권형 위계단위가 아니라 역내 외 국가들의 다자주의적 호혜평등성이 보장되는 지역단위체가 되어야 함을 제시한다. 셋째, 역내의 문화, 체제, 발전격 차 등의 구조적 이질성이 인정하되, 의거하여 점진적으로 이질성과 격차를 해소하는 다원주의적 전략을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study tries to investigate the strategic paradigm for the formation of the East-Asian Community. For this researching object, this article focuses on the three points as below; First, this research suggests that the existing ‘East-Asian discours’ concentrated on the academic understanding of East-Asian regionalism should develop toward the practical and strategic dimension for the community building. Second, this research proposes the points that the formation’s possibility of the East-Asian Community by the dialectical process of restrictions and vision rather than stressing the restricted factors of its regionalization. Third, this research inquires closely that its feasible model should intend toward the soft∙open∙reciprocal model not being as the European hard∙closed∙hierarchical model, but as gradual evolutionist paradigm. Addition to above suggestions, this study also proposes the three roadmaps for its formation as below; First, it suggests the multi-leveled open regional integration so that not only the North-and-South East Asian regions but also the U.S.A., Russia and Australian nations participate together. Second, this thesis presents that the East-Asian Community should not be led by the hegemonic states, but formulated by the multilateral participation of member states. Third, this research suggests the pluralistic strategy which accepts and further abolishes gradually the cultural differences, the developmental gaps, and the systemic heterogeneity between the joining countries.
