국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 한국보다 빠르게 고령화 사회와 인구감소를 경험한 일본의 1인가구 구조와 한국의 현상을 비교 분석하는 것이다. 분석을 통해 구체적으로는 다음과 같은 세 가지점을 규명하고자 한다. 첫째 1인가구의 증가로 만들어지는 싱글이코노미의 주관적 정의를 내리는 것이다. 둘째는 싱글이코노미의 특성을 분석할 수 있는 분석 모형을 만드는 것이다. 셋 째는 이를 바탕으로 한일간 싱글이코노미의 특성을 상호 비교하여 차이점을 도출하는 것이다. 분석한 결과, 첫째 싱글이코노미의 분석모형에 따르면 한국은 싱글이코노미의 성장기에 해당하며, 일본은 성숙기에 진입한 것으로 나타난다. 둘째 구체적인 구조적 특징으로는 싱글이코노미의 진행속도가 일본에 비해 한국이 빠른 것으로 나타났고, 한일 모두 유사한 시점에 전체 가구에서 차지하는 1인가구 비중이 급증했으며, 연령별 구분(청년과 노년)에서는 한일간에 다소 차이가 나는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze the phenomenon of oneperson household of Japan and that of Korea as the former has experienced an aging society and population decline faster than those of Korea. Specifically, the following three points should be clarified. The first is to create a subjective definition of a single economy created by an increase in one-person household. The second is to create an analytical model that can analyze the characteristics of a single economy. Third, based on this, the characteristics between the single economies of Korea and Japan are compared in order to deduce significant differences. As a result, the following were found. First, according to the analytical model of the single economy, Korea corresponds to the growth period of the single economy, and Japan appears to have reached a maturity stage. The second specific structural feature is that the speed at which Korean single economy is progressing is faster than that of Japan. The two countries’share of one person-household in all households showed a boost in increase at the same point in time. In terms of the age group (young adult and the elderly), there appeared some disparities between the two countries.
