영문 초록

The management of aggregate demand, depreciation and control of amounts of money makes an adjustment of BOP possibly. It is hard to measure, however, how much a variation of aggregate demand, fluctuation of exchange rate, and change of amounts of money effect BOP’s changes. When we try to adjust unbalance of international payment, it is difficult for us to drive our policies for improvement of balance of payment by forced suppression on aggregate demand, changes of exchange rate, control of amounts of money in the economies based on the principal of market competition. If trade deficit’s accumulation effects unbalance of international payment, we need to investigate the cause of unbalance of international payment more detailed. Thus, This paper will describe the reason of structural deficits of the balance of international payment. The reasons of trade deficit related to structure of commodity are as follows; export expansion in the heavy chemical industry and change in export commodity’s structure bring about a rapid increase in raw materials and capital goods’ import. This gave to rise to excess of imports over exports, because increase in a gross export was lower than one in a gross import. An excess of imports over exports gets balance of payment to remain in a deficit in the balance of trade in 1990’s. In case of structure in market of import and export, the imports exceed exports from an advanced country brought about a cause of deficit. In addition, in case of invisible export and import, income and expenditure in services and incomes stayed in deficit. Invisible export and import, that is, was a major factor in the deficit of current account. Then we should improve the balance of international payment, present a way about structural deficit’s continuance, take an efforts to stay the balance of payment in black figures. In addition, we should discuss on factors of causing deficit related to commodity structure, deficit related to market structure, and deficit related to invisible import and export. The balance of payment’s continuation caused accumulation in an external debt and absolute shortage in stocks of exchange, and sequently, accumulation in an external debt caused the economic crisis in these days. To refresh our continuous deficits in balance of payment and free ourself from IMF, we should try to improve our balance of payment in trade and invisible trade.
