국문 초록

이 연구는 정치사상적 차원에서 다루어진 진보와 좌파 이념에 관한 내용을 분석틀로 삼아 2018년 교육감 당선인 선거공약을 분석하는데 주된 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 논문의 Ⅱ장에서는 정치사상적으로 접근한 진보와 좌파이념을 고찰한 후, 교육감 선거공약을 분석하기 위한 틀인 ‘진보와 좌파 이념의 최소강령적 내용’을 제시하도록 한다. 이를 바탕으로 Ⅲ장에서는 2018년 교육감 당선인 선거공약을 분석해본다. 여기에서는 이른바 진보 교육감･보수 교육감 당선인 모두를 대상으로 한 선거공약을 진보･좌파 이념의 분석범주에서 각각 검토한다. 연구결과 진보･보수 교육감 간의 차이를 나타내고 있는 선거공약을 일정부분 확인할 수 있었으나, 교육감 당선인들의 정치 성향을 막론하고 오늘날에는 ‘신자유주의적 교육관’이 최소한 이들의 선거공약에서는 기각되고 있음을 고찰할 수 있었다. 이는 진보/좌파와 같은 정치사상적인 잣대로는 재단하기 힘든, 그 자체로 고유한 진보주의(progressivism)가 교육영역에 내재하는 것은 아닌가하는 교육사상적 함의를 제공하는 부분이기도 하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the election pledge of the 2018 superintendent, using progress and left ideology as tools. For this purpose, chapter 2 of the thesis reviews the progress and left ideology at the political thought level, and then presents the minimum code of progress and left ideology to analyze the election pledge of the 2018 superintendent. Based on this, Chapter 3 analyzes the election pledge of the 2018 superintendent. Here I review the election pledge for both the progressive superintendent of education and the conservative superintendent of education through the minimum code of progress and left ideology. As a result of study, some election pledges that can confirm ideological differences among superintendents. However, regardless of political orientation of the superintendent, it can be seen today that the ‘neoliberal educational view’ is not well accepted in the election pledge. This implies progressivism inherent in educational thought, which is difficult to judge by political thought such as progress and left ideology.
