소비자의 식품안전정보에 대한 평가

국문 초록

현대사회에서 식품안전은 우리나라뿐만 아니라 전 세계적으로 중요하게 다뤄지고 있는 주제이며 식품관련기관 및 식품업체에서는 다양한 방법으로 소비자들에게 식품안전정보를 제공하고자 노력하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 식품안전정보를 실생활에 직접 활용하는 소비자들을 대상으로 여러기관(국가기관, 한국소비자원, 민간소비자단체, 식품관련기업, 언론기관, 국제기구)에서 제공되는 식품안전정보에 대한 평가(객관성, 전문성, 획득의 용이성, 이해도, 활용도, 시의적절성, 내용충분성, 신뢰성)를 통하여 소비자들의 인식을 살펴보았다. 연구결과 국가기관에서는 정보의 객관성과 전문성, 한국소비자원에서는 정보의 객관성, 민간소비자단체에서는 정보의 이해도 및 활용도, 식품관련기업에서는 정보의 전문성, 언론기관은 정보획득의 용이성, 국제기구에서는 정보의 전문성이 높게 평가되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 식품안전정보는 정보수집 단계부터 제공까지 여러 기관들이 협력하여 효과적인 정보수집 및 전달이 이뤄질 수 있도록 식품안전정보전달체계를 구축하여 소비자들에게 신속하고 정확하게 식품안전정보가 제공될 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Food safety has been an important issue over the world in the modern society thus food related organizations and food enterprises have tried to provide their customers with food safety information in various ways. In this research, customers’ awareness has been reviewed through evaluation (objectivity, expertise, accessability, understanding, applicability, timely provided, sufficient information, credibility) on food safety information that many organizations (Public organizations, Korea consumer agency, civil consumer association, food related organizations, mass media, international organizations)provide customers who utilize food safety information in their daily life. Research results show that international institutions rate high in objectivity and professionalism, Korea consumer agency rank high in objectivity, civil consumer association rank high in understandability and applicability, food related organizations rank high in professionalism, and mass media rank high in professionalism. Thus, many organizations will have to try to establish food safety information delivery system in coordination to collect information effectively and provide quick and correct food safety information.
