대학기관변인이 BK21+사업에 따라 연구성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학기관 차원에서 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 대학기관변인을 분석하였다. 분석에 활용한 자료는 한국대학교육협의회에서 제공하는 대학정보공시 자료이다. 이 자료 중 2013년~2015년 자료가 모두 공개되어 있는 일반대학교 185개교를 대상으로 독립변인을 대학재정 및 연구환경으로 구분하여 분석을 실시하였다. 연구방법은 AMOS 프로그램을 활용하여 다변량잠재성장모형 분석을 실시하였다. 전체 대학 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 선정된 모든 교육재정변인(학생 1인당 교육비, 학생 1인당 등록금, 교육비 환원율, 학생 1인당 교내장학금, 학생 1인당 재정지원사업 수혜 금액)은 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 교육환경변인은 전임교원 1인당 강의 학점과 전임교원 1인당 연구비, 그리고 연구소 전임인력 수가 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 다음 BK21+사업 선정 유무에 따른 분석결과를 살펴보면, 교육재정과 관련해서 BK21+사업 선정 대학은 등록금을 제외한 모든 교육재정변인이 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었고, BK21+사업 미선정 대학은 모든 교육재정변인이 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구환경은 BK21+사업 선정 대학이 전임교원 1인당 대학원생 수와 전임교원 1인당 강의학점이 연구성과에 영향을 미쳤으며, BK21+사업 미선정 대학은 전임교원 확보율이 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 BK21+사업은 대학의 다양한 지원이 가능하게 함으로써 연구성과를 높이는 데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 특히 교육재정은 사업 선정 여부를 막론하고 대부분의 변인들이 연구성과에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소임을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze institutional factors affecting research outcomes of higher education institurions with the data(2013-2015) from the Korea Council for University Education. The data of 185 colleges were collected and analyzed by the independent variables, institutional finance and research environment of an institution using Latent Growth Modeling with the AMOS program. The results are as follows. Among the institutional finance factors, educational expenses per student, tuition per student, educational restitution rate, institutional scholarship per student, and the fund received per student had an impact on the research outcomes. Among the research environment factors of institutions, the teaching credit per full-time faculty, research fund per full-time faculty, the number of researchers employed had an impact on the research outcomes. With regard to the factor of the BK21+ program, the institutions that received the BK21+ program fund showed that the institutional finance factors except tuition per student had an impact on the research outcomes, while the institutions that did not receive the fund showed that all the institutional finance factors had an impact on the research outcomes. Moreover, with the research environment factors of an institution, the institutions that received the BK21+ program fund showed that the Graduate Student-Faculty ratio and the teaching credit per full-time faculty had an impact on the research outcomes, while the institutions that did not receive the fund showed that the full-time faculty rate had an impact on the research outcomes. As a result, the study found that the BK21+ program had an positive effect on improvement of research outcomes through helping institutions support and initiate various institutional programs. Especially, regardless of the BK21+ program fund, most of the institutional finance factors are important on the research outcomes.
