편의점 점포를 거래처로 하는 물류센터에서 작업자는 디지털 어소팅 시스템(Digital Assorting System, DAS)을 통해서 제품을 각거래처로 분류한다. DAS 시스템은 트럭이 도착하여 제품을 하차하는 지역(receiving area), 제품을 각 통로 별 수량에 맞게 나누는 지역(depot area), 마지막으로 통로 내 각 셀(cell) 별로 제품을 분류하는 지역(cell area)으로 구성된다. Depot area에 할당된 작업자는 각 통로 별 필요한 수량에 따라 박스로 나누는 작업을 수행한다. Cell area에 할당된 작업자는 통로 내에서 각 셀에 필요한 수량의 제품을 분배한다. 각 셀에 담긴 제품들은 작업 후 각 편의점 거래처로 배송된다. 본 연구는 데크(deck)와 통로 개수, 데크에서 데포(depot)로의 제품 할당에 대한 운영정책, 그리고 Cell area 내의 작업자 이동경로 규칙이 DAS 시스템의 생산성에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 이를 위해서 가능한 레이아웃 구성에 따라 WIP와 작업완료시간(CT)을 분석할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였 다. 시뮬레이션 실험을 통하여 운영정책과 작업자 이동경로 규칙, 그리고 레이아웃 구성이 생산성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

영문 초록

In a retailer’s distribution center, workers use a Digital Assorting System (DAS) to assort the products destined for convenience stores, DAS is composed of truck arrival unloading areas (receiving area), aisle-assorting areas (depot area), and cell-assorting areas (cell area). In the depot area, workers assigned to the aisle-assorting operation partition the boxes containing products assigned to each side. Workers assigned to the cell-assorting operation transport the boxes to their cell area and place items in boxes on appropriate cell for subsequent delivery to convenience stores. This paper analyzes the effects of the number of decks and aisles, the assignment of products in the decks to the depots, and the worker assignment methods in the cell areas. We build a simulation model to analyze work-in-process (WIP) and completion time (CT) for feasible configurations and their combinations. Using a simulation model, we analyze the effects of operational policies and logistics system layout on productivity.
