국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 미술치료 기반의 목적있는 활동이 급성기 뇌졸중 환자의 손 기능, 일상생활, 우울, 그리고 재활동기에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 16명의 급성기 뇌졸중 환자가 본 연구에 참여하였다. 모든 환자는 실험군 8명과 대조군 8명으로 무작위 할당되었다. 실험군은 미술치료 기반의 목적있는 활동을 받았으며, 대조군은 보통의 케어를 받았다. 모든 환자는 8주 동안, 주 3회, 하루 30분의 중재를 받았다. 측정은 손 기능을 측정하기 위하여 Jebsen-Tylor 손 기능 검사, 일상생활을 평가하기 위하여 수정된 바델 지수, 우울을 측정하기 위하여 우울척도 검사, 재활동기를 측정하기 위하여 의지 설문지를 사용하였다. 결과: 실험군은 중재 후 모든 평가에서 유의한 향상을 나타냈다. 대조군은 의지 설문지를 제외한 Jebsen-Tylor 손 기능 검사, 수정된 바델 지수, 우울척도 검사에서 유의한 향상이 있었다. 실험군은 대조군보다 우울척도검사와 의지 설문지에서 유의하게 더 높은 향상을 보였다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 미술치료 기반의 목적있는 활동이 급성기 뇌졸중 환자의 우울과 재활동기의 개선에 긍정적인 중재방법이 될 수 있음을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Objective: The aim of this pilot study was to investigate the effects of art therapy-based purposeful activities on hand function, daily living, depression levels, and volition level of patients with acute stroke. Methods: Sixteen acute stroke patients participated in this study. All patients were assigned randomly into two groups: the experimental group (n=8) or control group (n=8). The experimental group received purposeful activities based on art therapy, and the control group received the normal care. All patients received the care 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week, for a total of 8 weeks. The hand function, daily living and depression levels were measured before and after the intervention. The hand function was measured using Jebsen-Tylor Hand Function Test (JTHFT), the daily living through the Modified Barthel Index (MBI), the depression levels through Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), the volition levels through the Volitional Questionnaire (VQ). Results: The experimental group showed significant improvements in all measurements after the intervention. The control group showed significant improvements in JTHFT, BDI and VQ. The experimental group showed significantly higher improvements in the BDI and VQ after intervention than the control group. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that art therapy-based purposeful activities may have a positive influence in the improvement of depression levels and volition for rehabilitation in acute stroke patients.
