약사의 약학 관련 도서 이용과 충족에 관한 연구

국문 초록

전문직업인이 전문성 향상을 위해 관련 분야 서적을 어떻게 이용하는지에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제의식에서 약사가 약학 관련 도서를 어떻게 이용하고 어떤 충족을 얻는지 연구하였다. 그 결과, 약사들이 약학 관련 도서에 대해 갖는 관심은 약사 동향 도서 관심, 건기식/한약 도서 관심, 약학 도서 관심, 경영서비스 도서 관심으로 분류되며, 약사들은 약학 관련 도서에서 사회적 만족, 경영서비스 만족, 전문성 만족, 자기만족을 추구하고 얻는다는 게 발견되었다. 또한, 도서에 대한 관심, 추구된 충족(GS), 독서량, 획득된 충족(GO) 사이에 유의한 관계도 발견되었다. 일반화할 수 없고, 결정계수가 작다는 한계가 있음에도 불구하고, 본 연구는 이제까지 연구되지 않았던 약사라는 전문 직업인들의 관련 분야 전문도서 이용과 충족에 관한 최초의 연구로, 관련 도서 출판 및 마케팅 분야에 귀중한 데이터를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

영문 초록

Few studies have been conducted on how professionals use specialized books to improve their skills. The purpose of the present study is to investigate how pharmacists use pharmacy-related books and what gratifications they obtain. As a result, it is found that pharmacists have four types of interests in pharmacy-related books - interest in pharmacist trend books, interest in health functional food/oriental medicine books, interest in pharmacy books, and interest in management/service books - and that pharmacists are seeking and obtaining social gratifications, management/service gratifications, professional gratifications, and self-satisfactions from reading pharmacy-related books. Also, significant relationships among interests in pharmacy-related books, gratifications sought(GS), amount of reading, and gratifications obtained(GO) were found. Though the results cannot be generalized and the determination coefficients are relatively low, the present study has significance in that it is the first study ever conducted on the professionals’ uses and gratifications of specialized books and that it provides valuable data to the publishing and marketing industry of relevant books.
