초등학생의 진로개발역량에 대한 학교 진로교육 및 부모의 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 초등학생의 진로개발역량에 대한 학교 진로교육 및 부모의 영향을 밝히는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 ‘초·중등 진로교육 현황조사(2017)’의 데이터를 사용하여 위계적 다중회귀분석을 적용하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라 초등생의 진로개발역량 가운데 자기이해와 사회성, 직업이해, 진로설계와 준비 영역은 높은 수준이었으나, 진로탐색 영역은 상대적으로 낮은 수준을 나타내었다. 둘째, 초등학생의 학교 진로교육 활동 참여와 진로교육 만족도가 학생의 진로개발역량에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 초등학교에서 학생들의 교과수업 중 진로탐색, 진로체험, 진로상담, 진로심리검사 참여는 학생의 진로개발역량에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 특히, 교과수업 중 진로탐색 참여의 영향력이 높았다. 아울러 초등학생의 학교 진로교육 만족도가 높을수록 진로개발역량 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생의 진로개발역량에 대하여 부모 변인들의 영향력이 컸다. 부모와 자녀 간의 대화 빈도, 부모의 자녀 희망직업 인지, 부모 진로교육 연수 참여가 자녀의 진로개발역량 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 초등학생의 진로개발역량 향상을 위한 과제와 보다 심층적인 후속 연구를 제언 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of school career education and parents on the career development competencies of elementary school students in Korea. The researcher conducted a hierarchical multiple regression analysis using data from the School Career Education Survey (2017) . The main results of this study are as follows. First, among the sub areas of career development competencies of elementary school students in Korea, self- awareness and sociality, understanding work and occupation, career design and preparation areas were high level, but career exploration area was relatively low level. Second, participation in school career education activities and satisfaction of career education of elementary school students positively influenced on the development of career competencies of students. Elementary school students participation in subject-related career exploration activities, career experience activities, career counseling, and career psychology tests were positively influenced their development of career competencies. Especially, the influence of subject-related career exploration activities was high. The higher the satisfaction of elementary school students’ school career education is, the higher the level of career development competencies gets. Third, parental variables influenced career development competencies of elementary students. The frequency of conversations between parents and children, parental recognition of their child s desired job, and participation in parent career education have had a positive impact on improving their children s career development competencies. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggested the improvement of career development competencies of elementary students and follow– up research.
