영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develope the prototype system for safety education of elementary school students by using VR(Virtual Reality) technology. Using the proposed education program, teachers can make different safety-related situations in the virtual world with VRML scripts. The situations may be related to the issues of transformation safety, fire safety and bicycle safety, etc. Each safety training program is based on the scenario which is written by teacher referring safety-related books and movies. This paper includes 2 parts: (1) the prototype system for safety education based on virtual reality technology (2) the procedure for generating VR world by using the scenario of each situation. It is expected that many safety educational program can be developed by using the proposed system architecture based on virtual reality technology.
