국문 초록

비속어와 은어를 보편적으로 사용하는 오늘날의 청소년 언어문화는 심각한 교육적 문제를 안고 있다. 본 논문에서는 특히 이러한 언어문화가 청소년을 대화할 수 없는 존재로 나아가게 한다는 점에 주목하였다. 청소년 언어문화는 첫째로 자신과 타인, 세계에 대한 부정적 감정을 확대하고, 왜곡된 개념을 가지게 할 수 있다. 둘째로 청소년들 사이의 비속어가 권력관계를 전제하거나 공고화하는 역할을 맡으면서 불평등한 의사소통을 내면화할 수 있다. 셋째로 비속어, 은어 사용과 관련하여 기성세대와의 대화단절이 생겨나고 청소년들 간에도 다른 집단을 배제시키는 경우가 생겨나 점차 폐쇄적인 소통이 이루어지게 한다. 넷째는 이러한 언어사용이 자신을 과장하거나 어긋나게 표현함으로써 결과적으로 진실한 자아를 대변하지 못하는 비도덕성을 내포하고 있다. 이 네 가지 측면은 모두 대화할 수 있는 존재로의 형성을 막고 있으며 대화를 통한 교육을 어렵게 만드는 교육환경으로 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This paper discusses the problems of adolescents linguistic culture which coarse language and slangs are commonly used. Above all, the paper focuses on the fact that adolescents may grow up as people who cannot communicated with in the linguistic culture. Communications can only be possible when someone opens himself in a mutually equal relationship. However, contemporary adolescents language uses are often built on closed and unequal relationships. Firstly, the use of coarse language and slangs can expand negative feelings on himself, others and the world. It also makes adolescents form distorted perceptions on general ideas. Secondly, adolescents internalize unequal communication when the use of coarse language makes power relations prerequisites or much stable. Thirdly, use of coarse language and slangs contribute to closed communications in that communications with the older generation are severed and some adolescents exclude other groups. Lastly, this linguistic culture involves unmorality that adolescents language does not represent one s true ego by exaggerating and distorting himself. These four views all make adolescents hard to become good communicators. It means an education environment is hard because education is achieved through communication. Communication is a goal of education and also a process of education thus adolescents linguistic culture is crucial and urgence education problem to deal with.
