영문 초록

In consideration of an international perspective, the issues of the dominium of the Gando(間島) and that of the Dokdo(獨島) and also of an adequate, international title of the East Sea(東海) have something in common that the issues occurred while Korea was being pushed in a contest of power between countries during a period of 19C~Early 20C. By the way, it is considered that Korea had experienced disadvantage as a victim from the contest of power. In the issue of the Gando, through the identification of substance, only a name remained in a map so called ‘Huang Yu Quan Lan Tu(皇輿全覽圖)’, it is understandable that a territory of the Gando belonged to Korea indicated in a map of a European edition, ‘Huang Yu Quan Lan Tu(皇輿全覽圖)’, was recognized by Ching(1644~1912).
