자기주도학습전형 지원자의 사교육비 지출 실태 및사교육 필요성에 대한 인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 자기주도학습전형에 지원한 학생의 사교육비 지출 실태와 사교육의 필요성에 대한 인식을 분석하여 정책적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 수행하였다. 먼저, 사교육비 지출 실태를 분석한 결과 첫째, 내신 성적 향상을 위한 사교육비를 지출한 학생은 3개년 평균 66.57%로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기소개서 작성을 위한 사교육비를 지출한 학생은 3개년 평균 19.19%로 나타났다. 셋째, 면접 준비를 위한 사교육비를 지출한 학생은 3개년 평균 22.01%로 나타났다. 세 영역에서 모두 3개년 간 사교육비 지출 학생은 점점 많아지는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 사교육의 필요성에 대한 인식을 분석한 결과 첫째, 내신 성적 향상을 위한 사교육이 필요하다는 인식은 26.81%로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기소개서 작성을 위한 사교육이 필요하다는 인식은 8.17%로 나타났다. 셋째, 면접 준비를 위한 사교육이 필요하다는 인식은 13.12%로 나타났다. 세 영역에서 모두 3개년 간 사교육의 필요성에 대한 인식은 점점 높아진 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과를 토대로 다음의 두 가지 제안을 하였다. 첫째, 사교육비 지출은 최근에 약간 늘어나는 추세를 보이고 있다. 자기주도학습전형 정책이 다른 학교 유형과 어우러져서 공존할 수있도록 개선 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 사교육의 필요성에 대한 인식이 높았으며, 해마다 높아지는 추세로 나타났다. 사회 전체적으로 상대적인 경쟁을 줄이고, 학력에 따른 임금 격차를 줄이며, 교육복지를 확대하는 근본적인 처방이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to derive policy implications for analyzing the private education expenses expenditure and the perception of the necessity of private education of students preparing Self-directed Learning Admission. As a result of analyzing the actual expenditure of private education expenses, first, the average of students who spent private education expenses for improving their grade was 66.57% for three years. Second, the average of students who spent private education expenses for writing a letter of self-introduction was 19.19% for three years. Third, the average of students who spent private education expenses for interview preparation was 22.01% for three years. In all three areas, the number of students spending on private education for three years had been increasing. Next, as a result of analyzing the perception of the necessity of private education, first, the perception of the necessity of private education for improving grades was 26.81% of respondents. Second, the perception of the necessity of private education for writing a self-introduction letter was 8.17% of respondents. Third, the perception of the necessity of private education for preparing an interview was 13.12% of respondents. In all three areas, the perception of the necessity for private education had steadily increased over the past three years. There were two suggestions as the results of the analysis. First, the private education expenses has shown a slight increase in recent years. There is a need to plan ways to improve self-directed learning Admission policies so that they can coexist with other school types. Second, the perception of the necessity of private education was high and it showed a tendency to increase year by year. A fundamental prescription is needed to reduce relative competition, decrease the wage gap according to academic background, and expand welfare society as a whole.
