영문 초록

This article seeks to identify the role model of the Chunchon Animation Museum, which was established in 2003, in terms of the regional development as a whole. The role model is established in terms of the regional development and the promotion of cultural industries. In particular, it should be considered that the Chunchon Animation Museum is the first animation museum in Korea. In addition, it should be considered that the establishment of the Chunchon Animation Museum is characterized in the context of cultural facility and creative infrastructure of cultural industries as well. In order to develop the role model, the article also lays emphasis on ensuring that the Chunchon Animation Museum is clearly aligned with fostering the cultural tourism. The article concludes that the core activities such as education, data collection, R & D and exhibition should be strengthened in the future. The educational activities will provide the good opportunities for understanding the animation with the youth people. In this respect, the activities of the Chunchon Animation Museum is associated with the cultural democracy, which is one of the prime objectives of the cultural policy. On the other hand, the data collection and R&D activities will result in the improvement of the creativity in the process of the animation production. This demonstrates that the Chuncheon Animation Museum can be a significant tool in terms of the development of the animation industries.
