국문 초록

한국 사회적경제의 제도화가 초래한 위기들을 극복하고 대안운동으로서의 사회적경제 생태계를 발전 시키기 위한 목적으로 이 연구는 사회적경제와 시민사회의 관계에 주목해서 춘천 지역을 대상으로 사회 적경제에 대한 시민들의 인식과 수요를 경험적으로 연구했다. 지역 시민사회의 현실은 어떠한지, 지역 시민들은 사회적경제를 어떻게 인식하고 있으며, 그리고 누가 사회적경제를 지지하는지를 파악함으로써 사회적경제의 인식과 수요에 영향을 미치는 지역사회 조건들을 탐색하였다. 분석결과, 시민단체와 노동조합에 대한 사회적 신뢰와 영리기업에 대한 불신, 연대주의 규범, 지역공 동체 의식, 지역사회에 부족한 재화 및 서비스에 대한 필요가 사회적경제에 대한 인식과 수요를 형성하는 핵심적인 조건들임을 확인하였다. 사회적경제의 수요를 활성화시켜 사회적경제 생태계를 발전시키기 위해서는 지역 시민사회의 조건과 역량이 중요하다는 사실을 밝혀냈다. 특히, 자본주의 영리기업을 불신 하고 자본과 권력을 비판하는 노동조합과 시민단체를 신뢰하면서 연대와 호혜의 규범을 가진 사람들이 사회적경제를 지지하는 사회세력들이라는 점을 발견하였다. 이를 통해 사회적경제가 자본주의 시장경제의 대안운동이 될 수 있는 잠재력을 지니며 사회적경제 운동의 대상과 주체가 누구인지를 가늠해 볼 수있다. 결론적으로 춘천시 사회적경제 생태계의 발전을 위해 춘천 시민들의 필요를 조직화하는 방안들을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In order to overcome the crisis caused by the institutionalization of Korean social economy and to develop social economic ecosystem as an alternative movement, this study analyzed empirically the citizens perception and demand of the social economy on Chuncheon city focusing on the relationship between the social economy and civil society. The paper explored the community conditions affecting the perception and demand of the social economy by identifying the reality of the community civil society, how local citizens perceive the social economy, and who supports the social economy. The results show that the social trust for civil society and trade union, the distrust of profit-making enterprise, the solidarity norm, the community consciousness, the need for goods and services that are lacking in the community are the core variables. The study has found that the conditions and capacities of community civil society are important to promote the social economy ecosystem by stimulating demand of the social economy. In particular, it has been found that those who distrust capitalist commercial enterprises, trust labor unions and civic organizations that criticize capital and power, and those with norms of solidarity and reciprocity are social forces supporting the social economy. This means that the social economy has the potential to become an alternative movement of the capitalist market economy, and it is possible to identify who is the object and subject of the social economy movement. In conclusion, In conclusion, this study suggests ways to organize the needs of Chuncheon citizens for the development of social economy ecosystem in Chuncheon.
