국문 초록

본 연구는 과학․수학 영재교육에 독서 활용의 의미를 점검하고, 독서프로그램의 효율적 운영을 돕기 위한 도서 분류 체계의 개발을 목표로 한다. 풍부한 독서 자료와 다양한 교육적 요구를 가지고 있는 학생에게 최적의 독서 기회를 제공하기 위해서 독서 프로그램은 합리적인 교육적 선택을 통해 구성되어야 한다. 이를 위해 독서 프로그램의 구체적 자료 및 연계 활동이 안내된 기초자료가 주어진다면 독서 프로그램 운영의 수월성에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 요구에 부합하여본 연구에서는 도서 분류의 틀 및 체계를 개발하고자 하였다. 도서 분류체계의 개발을 위해 독서 프로그램을 설계 운영하고 평가하였으며, 이 과정을 분석하여 교육적 실천적 과제들을 발견하였다. 이렇게 분석된 내용들은 독서 지도 시 고려해야 할 항목들로 선정 되었다. 독서지도 프로그램의 분석및 진단은 2008년과 2009년도 서울대학교 과학영재교육센터에서 수행된 내용을 바탕으로 하였으며, 이들 고찰 결과를 토대로 도서 분류체계의 구성에 유효하고 실증적인 함의점들을 정리하였다. 개발된 과학․수학 관련 도서 분류체계는 다양한 교육적 요구 및 필요성에 부합할 수 있는 세부항목으로 구성되며, 책의 종류 및 키워드, 독서시간, 교과관련 기대효과 등이 그 예시이다. 이들 분류 틀은 각급 영재교육기관 및 학교 현장의 독서지도 프로그램의 개발에 유효한 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The importance of educational value of reading has been highlighted in the East and the West from the old times, gifted education is needed considering enhancement of national competitive power, and betterment of the gifted children s personal life. So, in korea, we recognized the importance of gifted education and put a lot of efforts to distinguish gifted children and develop curriculum and program for them for the past 10 years. However, current science-gifted education program emphasizes cognitive domain, and the special program for affective domain does not seem to be performed actively. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a reading guidance program, a program considering both cognitive and affective area, aiming for the gifted students in their growth process ; the time when they have intellectual development, search for self and value of life. First of all, we analyzed and discussed the reading guidance program, put through to students in Seoul National University Mathematics-Gifted Education Center in 2008 and 2009. After that we revised and complemented this program and developed a book classification system considering students’ present state of learning and reading, which is feasible in educational institution for the mathematically gifted children. In developing this program, WICS model by Sternberg and DMGT model by Gagné were taken into consideration, and in the purpose of book selection, meaning and present state of reading education, necessity of book selection standards, reading motive, immersion reading and analytic reading material study were surveyed.
