국문 초록

본 연구는 중등 특수교사들이 인식한 전일제 특수학급 운영 현황과 지원 요구를 분석하여 특수학급 운영을 내실화하기 위한 시사점을 제시하고자 실시되었다 . 이를 위해 전일제 특수학급을 운영한 경험이 있는 중등 특수교사 12명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 개별 심층 면담을 진행하였다 . 면담 내용을 연속적 비교분석법에 의해 분석한 결과, 740개의 의미 있는 진술을 파악하고, 38개의 소주제, 17개의 주제로 구분하여 조직하였으며, 전일제 특수학급의 운영 실태, 운영의 어려움, 지원 요구의 3가지 범주를 도출하 였다. 도출된 주제를 바탕으로 향후 특수학급 운영의 내실화를 위한 시사점을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 전일제로 특수학급에 배치된 학생들의 학습권 보장 및 특수교사들의 전일제 특수학급 운영에 따른 어려움 해소, 통합교육의 활성화를 위해 다양한 지원이 확충되어야 한다. 둘째, 전일제 특수학급에서의 교육이 실효성 있게 이루어지기 위해 전일제 특수학급 운영 및 배치 기준 마련 등 특수학급 관련 제도를 정비하여야 한다 . 셋째, 맞춤형 특수교육을 제공하기 위해 전일제 특수학급을 포함하여 특수교육기관을 다양하게 운영할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide suggestions for the management of special education classes by exploring the perception of the secondary special education teachers on the current status and support needs in self-contained classes. For this purpose, in-depth interviews of 12 secondary special education teachers with experience managing self-contained classes were conducted. An analysis of the interview contents based on constant comparative method yielded 740 significant statements. These statements were divided into 17 themes and 38 sub-themes that were grouped into 3 categories. Then, based on the analysis results, the meaning of the interviewee statements were discussed. First, various supports should be expanded to guarantee the right of learning for the students who placed in self-contained classes and to relieve the difficulties encountered by special education teachers who manage the self-contained classes and to activate inclusive education. Second, the system related special classes should be organized to advance effective education in self-contained classes - for example, by setting standards for the management and placement of those classes. Third, various special education organizations including self-contained classes should be operated to provide customized special education.
