영문 초록

The purpose of this research was to analyze the differences between self-image and the ideal image of adult women and to analyze the differences between depression and the psychological feeling of wellbeing resulting from these differences. The following is a summary of the results of the research study in which 200 adult women were the subjects. The measurement instrument was set to female image, depression, psychological feeling of well-being and analyzed with SPSS ver. 20.0. To assemble the research results as of now, it would appear that self-image and ideal images as recognized by women have been very different. In particular, the women could not recognize an ideal regarding a family-oriented image and a sensual image. Also, regarding the groups, the higher the self-image was compared to the ideal image, the psychological feeling of wellbeing appeared higher. Self-image had a positive influence on ideal image. Such a result can be interpreted with the meaning that, the more positively a person regards herself, the psychological feeling of wellbeing becomes higher. Women’s ideal image and self image are different, and self-image is important to improve psychological feeling of well-being.
