In modern society, as the development of pop culture by the mass media has greatly influenced education in schools, the right recognition of the pop culture which has as much effect on teenagers is needed to lead teenagers to live a wholesome life. The pop music can hamper the creative thinking power and divert to the sensual pleasure because it is easy to adopt without any intellectual efforts. For this reason, it can be a source of worry over leading sensitive teenagers to escapism. In the subject such as Music, depending on the feeling or self-consciousness, students attitude is very important. So if teachers give lessons, while recognizing that students are very sensitive to the interest, the relationship between teachers and students will be positively improved and more learning will be achieved effectively. The pop music is not only critical sources to students in the adolescent period to give learning motivation through various ways but also makes it possible to provide the feeling of integration between the teacher and the student. Moreover, a distinct culture among students will be built by the pop music, and through this process it is effective for promoting good human relations. However, we criticize the teenagers formation of their own unique culture; but the scientific research about the pop music should be preceded before our efforts to accept it. Nowadays, practical music courses have been introduced in many universities and it is a general tendency to establish training institutes to teach pop music. The rebuke and disregard that the pop music is less valuable than the artistic music is a topic to be sublimated these days. The art music and the pop music are not the subject of comparison and should not be separated. We need to create reasonable evaluation standards for the pop music to have the value of itself and make every effort for pop music to be recognized properly as an art activity. It is true that the present condition of our music culture is absorbed in western music. Of course, in the age of globalization it is natural to study and have access to other music cultures. However, we should avoid the situation that we lose our music culture because of this reason. As the pop music is our life itself and has influenced a lot on teenagers, the society and schools have to improve it better instead of averting. Through this improvement, it is possible to build up the popularization of healthy music culture to give good impact on cultivating rich emotion of teenagers.
