국문 초록

2000년대 이후 외국어로서의 한국어 교육은 가파르게 상승하였다. 그 중에 상급학교 진학을 위한 한국어 듣기의 실제 수업 방법 또한 고려해 보지 않을 수 없다. 한국의 대학이나 대학원에 진학하기 위해서는 중·고급의 토픽 급수에 합격해야 해며 한국어교원 자격증을 취득하기 위해서는 TOPIK 6급에 반드시 합격해야 한다. 전공 수업에 임하는 외국인 학습자들이 강의 내용을 제대로 알아\듣지 못하여 어려움을 호소하는 경우가 많고 중도 탈락률 또한 무시할 수 없는 수치이다. 이 같은 현실적 상황을 고려해 본다면 한국어 학습자들이 학문목적 한국어 수업은 물론 급수 취득의 어려움을 실생활 속에서 수시로 도움 받으면서 시험 대비도 할 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 본고에서는 이 같은 문제를 생활필수품으로 자리 잡은 스마트 폰을 생활 밀착형 듣기 교육이 이루어질 수 있는 교육매체로 활용할 수 있다는 전제 하에서 시도해 보았다. 학문목적 한국어를 공부하는 중·고급 수준의 외국인 학습자들이 스마트 폰의 폐쇄형 SNS를 활용한 뉴스듣기를 하여, 듣기 실력을 향상시키기 위한 교육 방안을 연구하고, 이를 바탕으로 실제 수업에 적용해 보았다. 스마트 폰의 폐쇄형 SNS를 활용한 뉴스 듣기는 한국어 듣기 교재와 연관된 내용을 선정하고 인지적 측면에서 접근하여 이해의 폭을 넓히고 듣기 후 단계에서는 타 영역으로 확장하였다.

영문 초록

Considering Korean language education as foreign language which has risen sharply since the 2000s, this study investigated actual teaching methods of Korean listening education for further schooling. In order to enter a university or graduate school in Korea, an intermediate and advanced topic qualification is required, and a TOPIK level 6 qualification is also required to obtain a certification of Korean education. However, in reality, understanding of major subjects of Korean learners is remarkably low. In addition, there are many Korean learners who have difficulty in participating in the class, and even the dropout rate of class is high. Given the situation presented above, there is a need for a practical method that is useful for Korean learners to participate in the major courses for academic purpose without difficulty and to acquire the necessary TOPIK level. This paper, therefore, focuses on smartphone that have become a necessity of life today. The generalized smartphone can be used as an effective education medium for improving the listening ability in everyday life. Through the case applied to the actual class, it was confirmed that listening to news using closed-type SNS(social network service) based on smartphone is effective in improving the listening ability of intermediate and advanced Korean learners for academic purpose. As a result, listening to news using smartphone-based SNS on the cognitive aspect improves the understanding of Korean listening ability and contents of the listening material, and it will be an effective education method for expanding to other areas after listening.
