국문 초록

우리 경제의 주력 업종 가운데 하나인 모바일 산업은 지난 30여년간 시대별로 다양한 특성과 변화를 거치며 최근에 이르기까지 혁신적인 진화를 거듭해오고 있다. 본 연구에서는 모바일 산업에 대한 변천과정을 조명하여 시대별 속성과 특징을 분석하는데 의의를 두고자한다. 이는 모바일 산업의 발전방향을 예측, 가능하게 만들어 향후 우리 모바일 산업이 선진적으로 대처할 수 있는 유용한 정보를 제시해주기 때문이다. 본 연구의 목적은 1990년대를 전후로 이동통신을 필두로 하는 모바일 산업을 조명하는 동시에 지난 30여년간 나타난 모바일 산업형태의 변천과정과 시대별 특성을 비교 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 모바일 산업의 시대별 고찰기간은 1960년대 이동통신서비스의 도입시기부터 시작되고 있으나 90년대를 기점으로 10년 주기의 민간서비스 시기를 중심으로 하는 최근 2015년까지를 핵심적인 분석범위로 삼았다. 시대별 구분의 핵심내용에는 이동통신기술의 세대별 발전사도 함께 포함하였다. 이상과 같은 관점에서 본 연구는 우리나라 모바일 산업의 역사를 10년 주기로 구분하여 산업이 형성되기 이전의 여명기, 산업의 생성보급이 이루어진 도입기, 기술혁신과 이용자 증가 등 다양한 진화가 이루어진 성장기 그리고 스마트폰과 개방된 무선망을 중심으로 한 모바일 플랫폼으로 옮겨지는 전환기까지, 모두 4개의 시대영역으로 구분해 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 일반적으로 사용하는 기술적 구분에 의한 세대별 이동통신 발전단계를 이용하지 않고 시대별 구분을 통해 체계적, 종합적으로 이동통신 발전사로 전개과정을 정리하여 고찰하였기 때문에 후행 연구자들과 실무자들에게 선행연구로서 필요한 자료와 정보를 제공하는 동시에 다양한 시사점까지 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The mobile subscriber net-growth sector of the world s trend has declined since after peaking in 2007, only to be market-led growth in developing countries. Most developed countries are likely to be difficult for the mobile subscriber penetration already entered a mature stage represents a rapid growth as in the past. Korea also has the characteristics of a high proportion of the mobile industry in the national economy has been repeatedly undergoes constant change from time to time to evolve over the last 30 years. And We will greet the 2010s and that is crucial to accurately recognize the flow of the mobile communications industry lies in the transition period. Accordingly we need to look at the sustainable development and determine the current state of the mobile industry to redefine the direction of the overall strategy and a clear view of the mobile industry can be said to be especially emphasized the point. In the study, We have analyzed the changes in appearance of the period-based on the results confirmed by the time the transition process and analysis of the domestic mobile industry. The purpose of this study is aimed at analyzing the past 30 Transition analysis of the mobile industry type, with years of age indicated by illumination of the mobile industry in the 1990s, led by the mobile communication back and forth to compare the age-specific characteristics. We have a range of up to 2015 around the time of commercial services in the 90 s the 10-year period before and after the time period by analyzing the mobile industry. And Generational evolution of mobile communication technology, the core of the age classification were added together. Above the same point of view, In the study, We was investigated a total of four times separated by period separated by 10 years. This study did not use a general mobile communications development step Generation by using technical classification. Because we are over the age-specific classification systematically analyzed comprehensively summarized development process of mobile communication evolution, This study provides the necessary data and information as prior to the study and subsequent researchers and practitioners will be able to provide a wide range of implications.
