〈승경도(陞卿圖)>를중심으로 한초등역사학습방안

국문 초록

조선시대 교육기관과 가정에서는 자녀 교육을 위해 유학(儒學)을 중심으로 한 공식적인 학업 과정 외에 여러 가지 교육놀이를 활용하였다. 그 중 승경도는 조선시대 관직으로의 진출을 역할놀이로 구성한 대표적인 놀이였다. 가정과 교육기관에서 학생들이 관직에 대한 체계와 그에 대한 지식을 익히는 것은 물론 전국 각 고을에 대한 이해와 벼슬살이의 굴곡까지 도 깨닫게 하는 교구로 승경도 놀이가 활용되었다. 일제강점기 이래 지금은 거의 자취를 감추었지만, 조선후기까지 승경도 놀이는 전국적으로 즐겨하던 놀이였다. 이에, 본 연구는 먼저, 이전의 연구 성과와 조선시대 문집 등 자료를 바탕으로 승경도의유래와 놀이방법 등을 조사하고 중국과 일본의 유사한 놀이와의 비교를 통해 승경도의 원형을 찾고자 하였다. 또한 국립민속박물관 소장 유물을 비교 분석함으로써 승경도의 판본형식에 따라 성격을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 승경도 놀이를 교육적으로 활용 할 수 있는 표준 놀이판으로 재구성 하였다. 표준놀이판은 A형과 B형으로 나누어 개발하였다. A형은 승경도 놀이의 구성 방식을 최대한 수용하였다. 가로×세로(8칸×10칸) 80칸으로 놀이 진행에서도 20분 정도 소요되도록 하였다. 진행 방식은 원형에 가까운 놀이로 구성하였다. B형은 어린이 스스로가 만들어가는 놀이를 구성하기에 적합하도록 가로×세로(4칸×6칸) 24칸으로 구성하여, 학습자가 놀이를 필요한 경우의 수를 지나치게 늘리지 않도록 구성하였다. 셋째, 표준 놀이판에 초등학교 교육과정을 접목하여 학교교육 체험학습 모형으로 제시해보았다. 표준 놀이판 A형은 초등학교 역사 체험 프로그램을 위해 구안되었으며, 사회과 지리영역, 일반사회 등 다양한 영역의 교육 프로그램 적용이 가능하다. 표준 놀이판 B형은‘나만의 승경도’만들기를 활용하여 적극 활용 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제시된 프로그램은 역사 체험을 위한 한 사례로서 보다 면밀한 검토와 평가가 요구된다. 그럼에도 이를 통해 다양한 역사 문화 콘텐츠에 대한 인식을 새롭게 접근하기위한 단초를 제공하고자 하는 것이다. 조선시대 우리 조상들이 진로교육과 여가선용을 위해 활용했던 승경도 놀이를 초등 역사체험 프로그램으로 응용하여 제시함으로써 어린이들의 체험 속에 과거와 현재, 미래를 함께담아내고자 하였다. 이러한 작업은 오늘의 학교 현장에서 전통사회 문화 콘텐츠들을 활용한 체험학습을위한 토대가 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Education institutions and families in Joseon employed various plays for child education, besides official study based on Confucianism. Seunggyeongdo is one of the representative plays which is a role play to progress to public post. Students could have learned the system of public office and knowledge as well as the understanding of the nationwide villages and the tough life of a public officer from Seunggyeongdo. Since the Japanese occupation period, it has almost disappeared, but it was popular until the late Joseon period. Firstly, this study examines the origin and method of play based on the previous studies and documents of Joseon and also by comparing similar plays in China and Japan to figure out the prototype. The character of Seunggyeongdo by types of version has been examined by comparing and analyzing the relics in the National Folklore Museum. Secondly, the study attempts to reconstruct a standard play plate to be utilized educationally. The standard play plate is developed into type A and type B. The type A utilized the structure of Seunggyeongdo to the maximum. With width× length (8×10), it consists of total 80 sections that needs about 20 minutes to complete. Type B aims to develop self construction by a child with 24 sections of width×length(4×6) in order not to make too many numbers of cases. Third, the study suggests school education program model by linking to elementary school curriculum. The type A is for history experience in the elementary school including various programs of Social Studies, Geogrphy and General Social Studies subjects. And the type B can be utilized with‘ making my own Seunggyeongdo’. The program suggested in this study requires more detailed review and assessment as a case of history experience. Nonetheless, it is meaningful to provide new awareness on various history and culture contents. By employing Seunggyeongdo play, a play for career education and leisure in Joseon, to history experience program for elementary school students, it attempts to demonstrate past, present and future in the experience of elementary school students. Such works may be foundation for experience study utilizing traditional culture contents in the today’s school education field.
