국문 초록

오늘날 한국교회는 세속적인 영향에 종속되어 초창기의 높은 도덕성과 사회적 섬김을 상실하고, 물질주의, 세속적 번영주의, 기복주의에 빠지고 있다. 이런 윤리적 실패의 원인은 한국교회가 역사적 개혁신앙의 그리스도 중심성으로부터 떠나서 전통종교의 기복주의화, 현세중심주의적 세계관, 그리고 오늘날 세속주의가 가져온 물량주의적 사고를 추종했기 때문이다. 한국교회의 정체성 회복을 위해서는 교회의 본질이 먼저 규명되어야 하고, 그리고 교회를 중심으로 하는 신앙적 정체성과 윤리적 정체성의 회복이 필요하다. 신앙적 정체성에 대해서는 칭의 교리와 예정교리를 바르게 이해해야 하고, 윤리적 정체성에 대해서는 영성 훈련에 근거한 칭의의 결실(성화)을 맺는 것과 기독교적 덕성인 감사, 나눔과 섬김을 실천해야 하겠다.

영문 초록

Today Korean church has lost morality and public sphere for social service, comparing to its early days. It is now trapped, searching for materialism, secular prosperity, and shamanistic blessing. Due to getting away from the Christ-centeredness, it has been subjected to the secular influence. It results in Korean church’s ethical failure in that it comes to cherish the this-world-centered worldview and materialistic thinking. It is that Korean church lost its own identity as the church. To restore its identity, Korean church needs to redefine the nature of the church as based on faith and its ethical practices. It should understand the meaning of faith in terms of the doctrine of justification and predestination. And it should take ethical practices in the process of sanctification, which is the fruit of the justification. They consist of thanksgiving, sharing, and serving. It is by the faithful reinstatement of such Christian virtues that Korean church can restore its identity as Christ-centered.
