국문 초록

이 연구는 메타분석 방법을 적용하여 학업성취도에 미치는 요인을 분석하는데 있다. 연구의 수행을 위해 1996년부터 2014년까지 국내 석ㆍ박사 학위논문과 학술지논문 36편의 효과 크기를 분석하였다. 따라서 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 학업성취도에 미치는 요인의 전체 평균 효과크기는 얼마인가? 둘째, MB정권 전ㆍ후에 나타난 변인군의 효과크기는 어떠한가? 이 연구를 통하여 얻은 결론은, 첫째, 학업성취도에 영향을 주는 전체 평균 효과크기는 0.489(SD=0.436)으로 MB정권 이전은 0.499이며, 이후는 0.476으로 타나났다. 둘째, 효과크기 순을 보면, MB정권 이전은 교사변인(es=0.684)이 가장 높게 나타났고, 이후는 학교변인(es=0.667)으로 나타났다. 특히 교사변인의 하위변인 교사직무만족, 직무만족도와 학교변인의 하위변인 학교SES의 효과크기가 크다. 이는 Coleman(1966)의 학생의 가정배경에서 교사변인과 학교변인으로의 변화를 알 수 있다. 본 연구 결과 MB정부 이후 학교변인이 학업성취도에 영향을 준다는 연구가 많은 것은 MB정부 이후 고교다양화 등의 정책 추진과 그 맥을 같이하는 것으로 추정된다

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to analyze the affecting factors on academic achievement using meta-analytic method. For the research, we analyzed the effect size of 36 Master’s and Doctor’s dissertations(1996~2014) in Korea. To achieve these goals, the following tasks has ben chosen: first, How big is the mean effect size of the affecting factors on academic achievement?; second, How big is the effect size of variables which appeared around the MB’s administration. We conclude from this research: first, the mean effect size of the affecting factors on academic achievement is 0.489(sd=0436). The mean effect size is 0.499 before MB’s administration and the size is 0.476 after the administration.; second, The biggest one is the effect size of teacher variables(es=0.648) and second one is the school variables(es=0.667). Especially, teachers occupational satisfaction, job satisfaction which are lower factors of teachers variable and school SES which is lower factors of school variable have the big effect size. We could know that the student’s family background which said Coleman(1966) changed from teacher and school variable. And we assume that there are many research which demonstrated that school variable has influence to academic achievement, since MB’s administration proceeded with educational policy like a diversity of high school pattern.
