회칙 「찬미받으소서」의 생태 교육에 관한 방법론적 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 프란치스코 교황의 회칙 「찬미받으소서」의 생태 교육에 관한 방법론적 연구를 목적으로 전개된다. 우선 회칙의 개관을 통해 현대 세계의 생태적 위기 상황을 살펴보고 위기 극복을 위해 교황이 설명한 신학적 근거들과 통합 생태론을 알아본다. 이를 통해 교황이 대안으로 제시한 생태 교육과 생태 영성에 관하여 살펴본다. 이에 중요한 원리로서 나타난 생태 교육의 네 가지 차원과 교육 방법 그리고 생태 영성에 있어서 생태적 회개에 필요한 네 가지 태도들에 대해서도 알아본다. 다음으로 교황이 생태 교육의 과제로 제시한 생태 교육 방법론의 연구적 중요성에 집중한다. 이에 필자는 몬테소리(M. Montessori)의 우주교육을 교육 방법적 방안으로 제시한다. 이러한 근거는 몬테소리가 가톨릭적 사상을 바탕(특히, 창조론)으로 우주교육 안에서 생태 교육적 방법을 고안하였고 이를 적용하여 구체화하였기 때문이다. 그래서 이러한 우주교육의 개념과 목적 그리고 방법과 프로그램에 대해서 살펴본다. 끝으로 몬테소리 우주교육의 방법과 교황이 제안한 생태 교육 방법과의 밀접한 관련성을 찾도록 시도한다. 이는 우주교육의 생태 교육적 요소에서 드러나는데, 구체적으로 생태학적 의미와 교육 목적, 교육 내용과 방법에서 찾을 수 있다. 두 가지 교육 방법을 비교한 결과, 많은 부분에서 우주교육과 교황의 생태 교육적 방법의 유사점을 찾을 수 있고 오늘날의 생태 교육 방법론에 시사하는 바가 크다는 결론에 도달한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to make researches on methodology of ecological education in Pope Francis encyclical “Laudato Si’.” Firstly, look over modern world ecological crisis in encyclical outline, then look into Pope’s theological bases to tide over this crisis and integral ecology. Through this, look into ecological education and ecological spirituality, which were suggested as to alternative ideas by Pope Francis. Then, examine 4 dimensions of ecological education and educational method, which were shown as to the important principles, and 4 attitudes needed for ecological conversion in ecological spirituality. After, this study focuses on the importance of the methodology of ecological education which Pope has presented as to ecological education assignment. Here, this study presented M. Montessori’s cosmic education as to educational method. This basis comes from that Montessori proposed ecological education method within cosmic education which was based on Catholic thoughts (especially ‘the Creation’) then Montessori has actualized by its application. So, here examines such a cosmic education concept, purpose, method and program. Finally, try to find the close relationship between this Montessori’s cosmic education method and Pope’s ecological education method proposal. It is revealed in ecological education element within cosmic education, concretely can find in ecological meaning and purpose of education, education context and method. As a result of comparing these two education methods, can find similarities in many parts between cosmic education and Pope’s ecological education method. And concluded that it is very suggestive to today’s ecological education methodology.
